We collaborate with colleagues around the world who all share our challenge - to make the world a safer place.\nYour Role\nAs a junior Field Service Representative (FSR), you will be part of the Field Service team at Saab Ltd, based in Abu Dhabi UAE. As an FSR, you will service and maintain our Ground-based Surface Radars at our customers’ sites. The work will involve analysis and interpretation of performance data, troubleshooting, repair and replace parts in our radar systems as needed. You will work closely with our customers and Saab support teams.\nKey Responsibilities:\nAssist senior engineers with radar installation, commissioning, maintenance, and fault-finding activities.\nMaintaining and servicing the ground-based surface radars as an integral member of the FSR team.\nContribute to the team support in meeting customers’ contractual agreements.\nSupport site preparation, equipment installation, cabling, configuration, and system checks.\nCarry out routine inspections and preventive-maintenance activities under appropriate supervision.\nAssist with radar calibration, alignment, functional testing, and performance verification.\nLearn to use radar-specific test equipment, diagnostic tools, and service software.\nPerform basic electrical, electronic, RF, mechanical, and network checks under guidance.\nFollow approved troubleshooting procedures and assist in identifying the source of equipment faults.\nReplace approved field-replaceable components when trained and authorized to do so.\nRecord measurements, observations, faults, and corrective actions accurately.\nAssist with Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning activities, and customer demonstrations.\nSupport the preparation of service reports, test documentation, maintenance records, and technical reports.\nCoordinate with logistics team regarding spares, inventory management, handling of repairs and logistics flow of parts\nExperience and Skills \n Preferred graduated Bachelor (or similar) student with an interest in field service of military systems. An education within power electronics, software and/or computer engineering is preferred, but not essential.\nYou like to work in teams and solve complex problems with others. You have a personal need for variation and see it as a challenge to face new problems.
