The successful candidate must be comfortable moving between strategy and execution, leading across multiple sites and functions, and capable of assuming broader Director-level responsibilities as the organization grows.\nResponsibilities:\nEnterprise Leadership:\nDevelop and implement a standardized enterprise operating model for Materials, Warehousing, and Packaging Engineering.\nEstablish common governance, operating standards, KPIs, roles, responsibilities, and accountability across Saab, Inc. locations.\nBalance enterprise standardization with site-specific production, program, and customer requirements.\nDevelop and execute the enterprise Materials strategy and continuous improvement roadmap.\nBuild organizational capability and develop site and functional leaders.\nLead cross-site initiatives focused on operational performance, scalability, cost, service, and risk reduction.\nPeople, Process, and Technology:\nPeople: Build a high-performing organization, develop leaders, establish accountability, identify capability gaps, and build succession depth.\nProcess: Standardize SOPs, material flow processes, controls, KPIs, operating cadence, and continuous improvement practices across locations.\nTechnology: Improve the systems, data, reporting, automation, and digital tools used to manage inventory, material flow, warehouse capacity, logistics, and enterprise performance.\nMaterials and Warehousing:\nProvide enterprise leadership for receiving, warehousing, inventory management, material movement, staging, and shipping.\nDrive inventory accuracy, material availability, transaction discipline, and material traceability.\nDevelop enterprise strategies for warehouse capacity, space utilization, material flow, and external and satellite warehousing.\nEstablish common warehouse operating standards and performance expectations across Saab, Inc.\nPackaging Engineering:\nProvide enterprise leadership and organizational ownership for Packaging Engineering.\nEstablish common packaging standards and specifications supporting product protection, preservation, handling, storage, and transportation.\nIntegrate Packaging Engineering with Programs, Engineering, Quality, Operations, Materials, and Logistics.\nDrive packaging standardization, efficiency, and continuous improvement across Saab, Inc.\nTrade Compliance and Logistics Partnership:\nWork closely with Trade Compliance and Logistics to integrate regulatory requirements into Materials and Packaging processes.\nEnsure appropriate engagement for international shipments, customs requirements, HTS classification, duty-free activity, licensing, and regulated material movements.\nBuild compliance requirements into shipment planning and execution early in the process.\nMaintain clear separation between operational execution and the independent regulatory responsibilities of Logistics and Trade Compliance.\nCross-Functional Leadership:\nPartner closely with Programs, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Program Management, Finance, Trade Compliance, IT, Facilities, and Security.\nServe as the enterprise Materials leader in cross-functional planning and operational reviews, influencing decisions across organizational and site boundaries.\nLeadership Expectations:\nThink and operate at an enterprise level rather than an individual-site level.\nBuild organizations and operating systems rather than simply administer existing processes.\nLead organizational transformation and change, translating strategy into executable operating plans.\nDevelop and mentor leaders while using data and operational metrics to drive decisions and accountability.\nCommunicate and influence effectively across functions and senior leadership.\nDemonstrate the leadership capability and organizational maturity to assume broader Director-level responsibilities as business needs evolve.\nCompensation Range: $132,000 - $171,600\nThe compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.\nSkills and Experience:\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline with 12+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.\nDemonstrated leadership experience in a complex manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or similarly regulated environment.\nExperience leading multi-site operations or enterprise-level initiatives and standardizing processes across multiple locations or business units.\nStrong Materials Management, Warehousing, and inventory control experience with working knowledge of domestic and international logistics.\nDemonstrated success leading organizational transformation, continuous improvement, and team development.\nStrong analytical, ERP/data, and performance management capabilities.\nAbility to travel approximately 20% annually to Saab, Inc. locations across the United States.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAerospace and/or defense industry experience, including AS9100/ISO and Lean/Six Sigma experience.\nPackaging Engineering or military/defense packaging experience.\nExperience managing external warehouses, third-party logistics providers, freight sourcing, and carrier negotiations.\nWorking knowledge of FAR/DFARS and import/export compliance interfaces.\nExperience implementing or optimizing ERP, WMS, TMS, or related supply chain technology.\nCitizenship Requirements:\nMust be a U.S. citizen.
