This is an opportunity to work hands-on with cloud-native technologies and help build the foundations that enable application teams to deliver software efficiently, securely, and at scale.\nAs a Senior Platform Engineer, you will be part of the team responsible for our Application Platform. The platform provides the capabilities, tooling, and services that enable development teams across the organisation to build, deploy, and operate applications efficiently and securely. Kubernetes is a core technology within the platform, and you will work extensively with the design, development, operation, and evolution of Kubernetes-based platform capabilities.\nYou will work with both existing and future platform services, focusing on automation, reliability, scalability, security, and developer experience. The role combines software-oriented infrastructure engineering with platform development and offers significant opportunities to influence the technical direction of our platform ecosystem.\nWorking closely with architects, developers, security specialists, and other engineering teams, you will help build and improve platform services that are secure, scalable, and easy to consume through self-service capabilities and well-defined interfaces.\nKey responsibilities:\nDesign, build, and evolve the Application Platform\nDrive automation initiatives and Infrastructure as Code practices\nImprove platform reliability, scalability, observability, and security\nBuild and maintain tooling, integrations, and platform capabilities that enhance developer experience\nContribute to the design and implementation of future platform services and architectures\nSupport application teams adopting and consuming platform capabilities\nCollaborate with architects and stakeholders to align platform capabilities with technical and business needs\nYour profile\nWe believe the right person for this role is curious, collaborative and eager to learn. What matters most is that you enjoy working in fast moving and complex environments, are willing to take ownership and want to be part of Saab's ongoing transformation within software, data and AI.\nWhat we are looking for:\nStrong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container platforms\nExperience designing, building, and operating platform services\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools\nGood understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices\nExperience operating and improving business-critical platforms or services\nKnowledge of cloud-native technologies and platform engineering principles\nStrong communication skills in both Swedish and English\nRelevant education or equivalent work experience\nIt's a bonus if you also have:\nExperience building or working with Internal Developer Platforms (IDP)\nExperience working in hybrid Kubernetes environments\nExperience with observability, monitoring, and platform security\nExperience from large or complex organizations\nThis position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection.
