Working closely with project teams, suppliers and key stakeholders, you will support the delivery of strategic sourcing, commercial procurement and supplier management activities that contribute to successful project outcomes.\nThis role plays an important part in ensuring procurement activities deliver value for money, minimise risk and support project delivery. You will assist with procurement strategy development, sourcing activities, tender evaluations, contract administration and supplier engagement while contributing to the continuous improvement of procurement practices across the organisation.\nFurther, the successful candidate will:\nSupport end-to-end procurement activities across complex projects and programs\nDevelop and implement procurement plans and sourcing strategies\nUndertake market analysis, tender evaluations and supplier selection activities\nNegotiate and administer supplier agreements, contracts and purchase orders\nProvide procurement advice to project teams and key stakeholders\nManage supplier relationships and support supplier performance outcomes\nContribute to procurement governance, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives\nFlexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and a 9-day fortnight will be considered for this role after discussion with the manager.\nAbout you\nYour skills and experience will include:\nExperience supporting procurement activities within Defence, engineering, construction or complex project environments\nUnderstanding of Australian contract law and commercial contracting principles\nExperience negotiating with suppliers and managing commercial relationships\nExperience preparing and administering purchase orders, subcontracts and supplier agreements\nKnowledge of contemporary procurement methodologies, supply chain practices and risk management\nExperience procuring from international suppliers and working with INCOTERMS\nTertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business, Procurement or a related discipline\nHighly regarded:\nKnowledge of ASDEFCON and Australian Defence procurement frameworks\nUnderstanding of export control requirements across Australia, the US, UK and Sweden\nExperience using enterprise systems such as IFS Cloud and SharePoint\nKnowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis\nApplicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to baseline/NV1/NV2 level.
