In this role, you will combine deep technical expertise with hands-on engineering and help build secure, scalable, and robust environments for advanced AI solutions.\nYou will be part of Software Excellence and Information Assurance (SWEIXA) within Saab Surveillance. Working closely with other experienced engineers, you will provide technical expertise in cloud-native platforms, Kubernetes, and AI infrastructure.\nAs a Senior Data & AI Platform Engineer, you will work across the entire technology lifecycle, from design and implementation to deployment, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. You will also contribute knowledge related to AI tools, their capabilities and limitations, helping the team develop sustainable technical solutions that meet business and customer needs.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop, and enhance cloud-native Data & AI platforms\n\nDevelop platform functionality and work with Kubernetes and Kubernetes Operators\n\nImplement, deploy, and troubleshoot solutions in complex technical environments\n\nWork with automation, GitOps, CI/CD, and observability\n\nContribute technical expertise, knowledge sharing, and the continuous improvement of team practices\n\nExplore how emerging AI technologies and tools can be utilized and integrated into our platforms\n\nTravel may be required as part of this role.\nYour Profile\nWe are looking for someone with solid experience in software engineering and platform development who enjoys working close to technology. You have a strong technical interest and thrive on solving complex challenges in collaboration with others.\nWe believe you have experience in several of the following areas:\nGolang or other programming languages used for systems-level development\n\nKubernetes, Kubernetes Operators, and containerized environments\n\nCloud-native platforms, as well as DevOps, GitOps, and CI/CD practices\n\nLinux and automation using tools such as Python or Shell scripting\n\nData-intensive environments and the deployment and management of AI models\n\nExperience in any of the following areas is considered a merit:\nAI-assisted software development or agent-based AI\n\nLarge Language Model (LLM) technologies, including prompting and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)\n\nTest automation\n\nSecurity testing\n\nYou hold a university degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or have gained equivalent competence through professional experience.\nAs a person, you are curious, solution-oriented, and capable of understanding complex technical challenges. You enjoy sharing your knowledge and collaborating with others while also being comfortable driving technical initiatives independently.\nThis position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection.
