We support our people with benefits that enhance wellbeing, flexibility and financial security, including:\nUp to 6 weeks leave\n14% employer superannuation contribution\nFree Income Protection Insurance\nFor further information about a career at Saab, visit the page adjacent: https://www.saab.com/markets/australia/careers/saab-life\nThe role\nBe part of an international team and contribute to the next generation Air Traffic Systems across Australia.\nDeploy cutting-edge Air Traffic Control System across Australia’s major towers.\nMulti-dimensional opportunity to work on different aspects of Systems Engineering and engage regularly with end users.\nAs part of our Civil group, the Senior System Integration Engineer - ATM will be the interface between Air Traffic Management (ATM) product design authority, system developers, Saab-internal project and support teams and the customer, to deliver product integration, remediate issues and identify opportunities for product improvement.\nTo be successful in this role, you must be highly motivated, demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and have a keen interest in technical and complex software systems, preferably within the ATM domain.\nFurther, the successful candidate will:\nMap customer requirements to system solutions based on Saab’s ATM product portfolio.\nPerform requirements analysis, developing requirement specifications and participating in the design, verification and validation of solutions.\nDevelop external interface specifications, system design documents and acceptance test documents, including detailed parameterisation descriptions.\nEffectively contribute to the realisation of ATM projects through integration of ATM Systems.\nCoordinate with product software development teams in the specification, design, development and verification of customer-specific solutions.\nLead integration activities and work with the customer to define, develop and verify the parameterisation aspects of each site’s implementation. Manage parameterisation defect prioritisation and support customer validation activities as required.\nDeploy, configure, integrate and test ATM system software and parameterisation in factory and on site.\nPerform activities based on applicable policies, guidelines, cost awareness, rules and procedures (incl. those related to health and safety, quality and environment).\nFlexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and a 9-day fortnight will be considered for this role.\nAbout you\nYour education, skills and experience will include: \nDegree in software engineering/computer science degree with suitable recent software experience.\nEligible for chartered engineering status and state engineering registration (Queensland/Victoria).\nMinimum of 8 years’ experience in ATM domain including system integration.\nIn-depth knowledge of network, network security, XML and Linux.\nKnowledge of virtualisation technologies.\nTest and validation of software.\nDemonstrable knowledge of the system engineering process, including requirements management, system design, integration, test and validation.\nAbility to undertake high-level requirements derivation, system design and implementation.\nAbility to review and interpret specifications, interface documentation, drawings and estimates.\nUnderstand complex technical issues and manage them within project cost, time and quality constraints.\nAbility to write clear and precise technical reports.\nWell-developed written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work with others in a team environment.\nDemonstrated awareness and ability to address whole of capability/systems issues, such as safety, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), cybersecurity and supportability.\nExperience in the ATM domain is highly desirable.\nApplicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance preferably to baseline level or have the ability to gain one.\nWhat you will be part of\nExplore a world of possibilities.
