Your work will support Saab’s operations by ensuring that internal stakeholders have access to competitive, reliable and high-quality services, consumables and other indirect goods.\nAs part of the Sourcing and Production team, you will manage relationships with current and potential suppliers and work closely with stakeholders across production, engineering, HR, administration and facilities. Your work will help ensure a resilient and cost-effective supply base that supports day-to-day operations, projects and production.\nYour category scope may include\nProduction support services, tooling, consumables and capital equipment, including purchases for investment projects.\nMaintenance, calibration and repair services\nAccessories\nProfessional, technical, digital, engineering and consultancy services\nFacility management and site services\nLogistics, transport and warehousing services\nOffice, workplace and other operational support services\nThe role includes occasional domestic travel to supplier sites, Saab locations and industry events, typically accounting for approximately 5-10% of working time.\nThe role operates in a challenging and complex environment, where Saab continuously pushes the boundaries of what is technically possible. Success in this role requires strong communication and planning skills, a commercial and analytical mindset, and a proactive approach to supplier management.\nKey Responsibilities\nTake commercial responsibility for assigned sourcing categories, including sourcing for investment projects, production and business operations.\nManage and develop the supplier portfolio, including supplier performance, competitiveness, capability, capacity and risk profile.\nBuild and maintain long-term supplier relationships in close collaboration with internal stakeholders.\nLead sourcing activities, including RFQs, quotation evaluation, commercial negotiations and supplier agreement management.\nMonitor market developments, supplier capacity, pricing, contractual risks and service-delivery performance within the assigned categories.\nIdentify and drive opportunities for cost efficiency, supplier development, demand consolidation and operational resilience.\nEnsure compliance with Saab’s sourcing strategy, policies, procedures and applicable requirements.\nYour profile\nTo thrive in this role, you are commercially minded, structured and customer-oriented. You communicate confidently with different stakeholders and are comfortable working independently while contributing actively to a cross-functional team.\nYou have an analytical approach and the ability to manage several priorities in a fast-paced and complex environment. You are proactive in engaging with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and able to take initiative when identifying commercial opportunities, supply risks or improvement needs.\nRequired skills\nUniversity degree in Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain Management or a related field; alternatively, equivalent relevant work experience\nExperience in strategic sourcing, procurement or supplier management\nStrong negotiation, communication and stakeholder-management skills\nExcellent written and spoken Finnish and English\nExperience in analysing sourcing, supplier or commercial data using Excel or similar tools\nWe also appreciate\nExperience in indirect procurement, service procurement or category management\nExperience of sourcing professional, technical, IT, facilities, logistics or other operational support services\nExperience in contract management, supplier-performance management and service-level agreements\nExperience of working with ERP, purchasing or contract-management systems for example IFS\nExperience of utilising AI-powered tools to improve efficiency, data analysis or sourcing processes\nExperience in a high-technology, industrial, aerospace or defence environment\nWe do not expect you to meet every preferred qualification listed above.
