This position will support tower upgrade, installation, integration, testing, and field engineering activities associated with communications and range systems. The successful candidate will work closely with technical teams supporting construction, installation, maintenance, and upgrade efforts at customer locations, including travel to various project sites as required.\nPosition Type: Part-Time/On Call\nSalary: $39.78 - $45 hourly (depending upon experience)\nWork Location: Full-time onsite.\nEssential Functions:\nPerform structural and specialty welding in support of communications tower upgrades, modifications, installations, and maintenance activities.\nSupport installation, integration, testing, and repair activities associated with communications infrastructure and related systems.\nRead and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.\nOperate welding equipment, fabrication tools, power tools, and other construction equipment safely and effectively.\nAssist technical teams with site preparation, equipment installation, system integration, testing, and field support activities.\nInspect completed work to ensure compliance with applicable quality and safety requirements.\nSupport field operations at customer locations, including travel and extended temporary duty assignments.\nMaintain required documentation, records, and reports associated with project activities.\nOther duties as assigned or required.\nRequirements\nRequired:\nCurrent Certified Welder certification.\nExperience performing welding, fabrication, construction, installation, or maintenance activities in industrial, commercial, military, or government environments.\nAbility to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, technical specifications, and work instructions.\nExperience operating welding equipment, power tools, fabrication equipment, and common hand tools.\nAbility to work outdoors in varying environmental conditions.\nAbility to travel for extended project assignments as required.\nAbility to lift, carry, and move equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.\nDesired:\nExperience supporting Department of Defense, Navy, Marine Corps, or other federal government programs.\nExperience supporting communications towers, antenna systems, RF infrastructure, or telecommunications projects.\nExperience supporting installation, integration, or testing activities associated with communications or range systems.\nFamiliarity with tower climbing, elevated work platforms, fall protection requirements, or communications site construction activities.\nExperience working in remote field environments and supporting temporary duty travel assignments.\nEducation / Years of Experience:\nHigh School Diploma or GED required and Two (2) or more years of welding, fabrication, construction, installation, or related technical experience.\nTrade school, vocational training, apprenticeship, military technical training, or equivalent welding certification preferred.\nSecurity Clearance:\nMust be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance.
