Saalex offers competitive compensation, career development, flexible work schedules and excellent benefits.\nPosition Type: Contingent on Contract Award.\nSalary: $95k-$160k (depending on experience)\nThe Cybersecurity Engineer II supports the Navy by designing, implementing, and securing enterprise IT and network systems in support of global Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) environments. This role focuses on cybersecurity engineering, system hardening, and integration of secure architectures.\nEssential Functions:\nImplement and maintain secure configurations for systems, networks, and applications. \nApply STIGs, patches, and security controls in accordance with RMF requirements. \nSupport vulnerability assessments and remediation efforts. \nAssist in the development and maintenance of secure system architectures. \nSupport ATO documentation and cybersecurity engineering activities. \nCollaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure system security. \nRequirements\nRequired:\n3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, IT security, or related field. \nBachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). \nExperience with system security principles, network security, or secure configurations. \nKnowledge of RMF, STIGs, and DoD cybersecurity frameworks. \nRequired certifications aligned to DoD 8140 (e.g., Security+, CEH, CISSP based on level). \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. \nAbility to design and implement secure technical solutions. \nDesired:\nExperience supporting DoD or Navy programs. \nFamiliarity with enterprise tools such as ACAS, HBSS, or SIEM platforms. \nExperience with cloud or virtualized environments. \nActive Secret, Top Secret, or SCI clearance preferred. \nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).\nSecurity Clearance:\nMust be eligible to obtain a Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI clearance. Active clearances preferred.
