Saalex offers competitive compensation, career development, flexible work schedules and excellent benefits.\nPosition Type: Contingent on Contract Award.\nSalary: $65k-$115k (depending on experience)\nThe Field Service Engineer I supports the Navy by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting IT, network, and hardware systems at fielded locations. This role focuses on hands-on technical support, system integration, and sustainment of mission-critical infrastructure across CONUS and OCONUS environments.\nEssential Functions:\nInstall, configure, and maintain IT hardware, network equipment, and peripheral systems at field sites. \nPerform on-site troubleshooting and repair of systems including servers, workstations, and network devices. \nSupport system integration, upgrades, and deployment activities in accordance with engineering and program requirements. \nExecute preventive maintenance and system health checks to ensure operational readiness. \nDocument field activities, configurations, and issue resolution in accordance with program standards. \nCollaborate with engineering, network, and cybersecurity teams to resolve technical issues. \nEnsure compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies, including STIGs and system hardening requirements during installations. \nSupport logistics coordination for equipment, spares, and replacement parts.\nRequirements\nRequired:\n1-3 years of experience in field service engineering, IT support, or related technical field. \nAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Electronics, or related field (or equivalent experience). \nHands-on experience with installation, troubleshooting, and repair of IT or network systems. \nFamiliarity with hardware components, cabling, and basic network configurations. \nRelevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+). \nAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret, Top Secret, or SCI clearance.\nAbility to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations as required. \nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in field environments. \nEffective communication skills and ability to work independently on-site. \nDesired:\nExperience supporting DoD or Navy fielded systems and remote sites. \nFamiliarity with ruggedized systems, tactical communications, or deployed environments. \nExperience with imaging, system deployment tools, or configuration scripts. \nActive Secret, Top Secret, or SCI clearance preferred. \nEducation:\nAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Electronics, or related field (or equivalent experience).\nSecurity Clearance:\nMust be eligible to obtain a Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI clearance. Active clearances preferred.
