Saalex offers competitive compensation, career development, flexible work schedules and excellent benefits.\nPosition Type: Contingent on Contract Award.\nSalary: $75k-$135k (depending on experience)\nThe Field Service Engineer II supports the Navy by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting IT, network, and hardware systems at fielded locations. This role focuses on hands-on technical support, system integration, and sustainment of mission-critical infrastructure across CONUS and OCONUS environments.\nEssential Functions:\nLead installation, configuration, and integration of IT hardware, network systems, and infrastructure at field sites. \nDiagnose and resolve complex system, hardware, and network issues in operational environments. \nSupport system upgrades, technology refresh, and deployment activities in accordance with engineering designs. \nPerform advanced preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure system availability and reliability. \nProvide on-site technical leadership and guidance to junior field service personnel. \nEnsure systems are configured and maintained in compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies, including STIG implementation and system hardening. \nDocument field activities, system configurations, and issue resolutions in accordance with program and audit requirements. \nCoordinate logistics for equipment, spares, and lifecycle replacement activities. \nCollaborate with engineering, network, and cybersecurity teams to resolve escalated technical issues. \nRequirements\nRequired:\n3-5 years of experience in field service engineering, systems integration, or related technical field. \nAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Electronics, or related field (or equivalent experience). \nHands-on experience installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise IT and network systems. \nExperience with system integration, deployment, and configuration of hardware and network components. \nRelevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, or equivalent). \nAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret, Top Secret, or SCI clearance. \nAbility to travel extensively to CONUS and OCONUS locations as required. \nStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills in field environments. \nAbility to work independently and lead efforts in remote or operational settings. \nDesired:\nExperience supporting DoD or Navy fielded systems and distributed environments. \nFamiliarity with ruggedized systems, tactical communications, or deployed operations. \nExperience with imaging tools, automation scripts, or system deployment frameworks. \nActive Secret, Top Secret, or SCI clearance preferred. \nEducation:\nAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Electronics, or related field (or equivalent experience).\nSecurity Clearance:\nMust be eligible to obtain a Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI clearance. Active clearances preferred.
