The selected candidate will manage the receipt, storage, identification, inventory, traceability, procurement, and issuance of materials supporting Navy manufacturing programs. This position works closely with purchasing, production control, engineering, and quality personnel to ensure material availability while maintaining compliance with AS9100, contractual, quality, configuration-control, and customer requirements.\nPosition Type: Full-Time\nSalary: $93k-$105k (depending upon experience)\nWork Location: Onsite - Point Mugu, CA. Work may involve warehouse, manufacturing, production, and material-handling environments and requires compliance with applicable safety, security, export-control, and government-site procedures.\nEssential Functions:\nReceive, inspect for documentation completeness, label, store, and issue raw materials, parts, work-in-process, and finished goods.\nMaintain accurate inventory records in ERP/MRP systems, including receipts, issues, transfers, returns, adjustments, and cycle counts.\nPreserve required lot, batch, heat, serial-number, shelf-life, and certification traceability.\nMonitor material requirements and production schedules; identify shortages, excess, aging, or obsolete inventory and coordinate resolution with purchasing and production control.\nVerify correct part numbers, revisions, quantities, and material status before issuing materials to production.\nControl storage, handling, packaging, shelf-life, and preservation requirements to prevent damage, deterioration, contamination, or unauthorized use.\nSegregate and document nonconforming, damaged, expired, or unverified materials and coordinate disposition with Quality Assurance and Engineering.\nSource and procure materials, components, services, and outside processing required to support Navy manufacturing programs.\nIssue and administer purchase orders in accordance with approved supplier lists, contract requirements, quality requirements, and company procedures.\nEnsure purchase orders include correct part numbers, revisions, quantities, delivery requirements, certifications, traceability, inspection, packaging, and flow-down requirements.\nMonitor supplier performance, delivery status, shortages, and lead times and expedite critical orders to support production schedules.\nCoordinate with Engineering, Quality, Materials Control, and Production Control to resolve supplier discrepancies, nonconforming materials, and schedule risks.\nMaintain accurate procurement records, supplier documentation, purchase order status, and material receipt information within ERP/MRP systems.\nSupport supplier evaluations, corrective actions, audits, physical inventories, approved supplier list maintenance, and continuous-improvement efforts.\nIdentify cost, lead-time, quality, and supply-chain risks and recommend alternate sources or mitigation actions.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nRequired:\nMinimum of 2 years of experience in materials control, inventory, warehousing, manufacturing, logistics management, procurement, or supply-chain operations.\nExperience with ERP/MRP or inventory-management systems.\nWorking knowledge of inventory transactions, material traceability, receiving documentation, work orders, and bills of material.\nStrong attention to detail, recordkeeping, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a production-driven environment.\nDesired:\nExperience in aerospace, defense, shipbuilding, Navy, DoD, or other regulated manufacturing environments.\nFamiliarity with AS9100 quality-management systems, shelf-life controls, material certifications, and configuration management.\nExperience supporting supplier evaluations, corrective actions, audits, and approved supplier list maintenance.\nKnowledge of procurement, purchasing, supplier management, material planning, and supply-chain risk mitigation.\nForklift or material-handling-equipment certification, as required.\nEducation:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\nSecurity Clearance:\nActive security clearance required.
