Summary:\nThe successful applicant will be responsible fortesting and test support of a variety of visible and infrared focal plane arrays.\nKey Responsibilities*:\nAssist in the development, setup, and validation of electrical and optical test systems and procedures.\nPerform electrical and optical testing of semiconductor wafers, detectors, arrays, and focal plane array (FPA) assemblies under the guidance of engineering staff.\nSupport wafer probing and electrical characterization of integrated circuits and semiconductor devices.\nCollect, organize, and analyze test data to evaluate device performance and identify trends or anomalies.\nAssist in the development and use of measurement systems, test procedures, and software tools.\nWork closely with engineers and technical staff to conduct experiments, troubleshoot test issues, and document results.\nFollow established test procedures, work instructions, and schedules while maintaining accurate test records.\nCollaborate effectively with team members and communicate technical findings.\nFollow laboratory safety procedures, including cleanroom protocols, electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).\nSupport compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and procedures.\nDesired Qualifications*:\nCurrently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.\nBasic understanding of electrical circuits, electronic components, and measurement principles.\nFamiliarity with electronic test equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and source meters.\nBasic programming experience in one or more languages such as Python, C#, C++, MATLAB, or Java.\nExposure to test automation or data acquisition software such as LabVIEW or MATLAB is a plus.\nBasic ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.\nFamiliarity with semiconductor devices, imaging sensors, or integrated circuits is a plus.\nBasic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for data analysis and charting.\nInterest in hands-on laboratory work, electronic testing, and troubleshooting.\nStrong attention to detail, organizational skills, and willingness to learn.\nGood written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document technical activities.\nAbility to work collaboratively with engineers and other technical staff.\nSelf-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a laboratory environment.\nPrior laboratory or cleanroom experience is beneficial but not required.\nSuccess Metrics:\nAccurate execution of assigned test procedures and collection of reliable test data.\nTimely completion of assigned testing and engineering support activities.\nDemonstrated ability to operate basic laboratory test equipment.\nQuality and completeness of test records, data analysis, and documentation.\nProgress in understanding focal plane array operation, testing, and characterization.\nEffective support of test station setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.\nDemonstrated compliance with laboratory safety, cleanroom, and ESD procedures.\nAbility to identify and communicate test anomalies or equipment issues.\nDemonstrated technical learning, initiative, and collaboration with engineering
