Are you ready to join a team that dreams as big as you do?\nThe key purpose of this role is to provide on the “ground, technical and operational” overseeing and professional safety/fleet management service thereby ensuring that the company operates in a lawful and ethical manner, abides to the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act, Road Transport Act, Governance Codes (Combined Code) of practice pertaining to Safety and Fleet Management including ABInBev Safety Policy and Standards and Corporate Governance and ensures protection of stakeholder interests through the mitigation at source of loss and safety risk, pure and speculative across the broad spectrum of the ABInBev operations.\nKey roles and responsibilities:\nConduct shop-floor ongoing coaching on OHS Act\nTo ensure compliance with the OHS Act of 93 and the Road Traffic Act\nAccountable to providing sustainable fleet/safety support to the sites stationed at and remotely contracted to support including the sales/ commercial operations\nThe safety professional need to be available for emergencies. Business hazards are not contained within perimeter fencing but one has to devise smart plans to work in collaboration with multiple stakeholders\nConduct daily stringent inspections of the depot fleet for compliance against legal and company requirements\nReport on daily fleet availability (Trucks, Trailers, FLT’s and MFLT’s) daily\nMaintain and archive records and documentation as per SAB and legal requirements including maintenance job cards, licensing history, and pre-trip inspections\nTo manage internal self-audits\nAnalyse findings and monitor implementation of corrective action\nImplement and sustain the DPO Fleet and Safety Pillars through DPO Self Assessments and Zone DPO Audits\nAttending weekly DC Fleet meeting providing insight on DC fleet and contractor performance aligned to the TOR\nAsset verification in line with the BRN\nSubmit all new master data requisitions and changes to Regional Fleet Manager to be updated\nUnderstand vehicle-specific maintenance and service requirements for all vehicle categories (trucks, trailers, forklifts and warehouse cleaning equipment)\nTo empower operators and line managers to be able to provide an encompassing 21st century leadership to operations\nTo develop and maintain site standards to minimise losses, ensure compliance to legal provisions (e.g. OHS Act, Environmental Act, COVID Act) and limited exposures\nTo be accountable for the maintenance of the environmental programme and the execution of required internal and external audits\nEnsure all workplace hazards are identified and communicated to all staff\nEnsure all new employees and contractors are inducted on the SHE programme\nEnsure site procedures and work instructions are maintained, issued to staff and relevant staff training is conducted\nAccountable to ensure that these safety risks are adequately addressed and to monitor audits/surveys/maintenance to ensure that fire and explosion risks are minimised\nManage the depot preventative and corrective maintenance plan and schedule and adhere stringently to schedules for all vehicle categories to ensure the fleet is continuously maintained and available\nContinuous management of COF and licensing process\nObtain quotes form supplies on fleet maintenance and repairs\nSupport RFM in managing expenditure against the budget (VLC) with monthly latest estimate (LE) align to period phasing (DC)\nSpare Part Management to ensure min / max levels adherence (Includes tyres)\nWorkshop Safety 5s and review maintenance SOP’s to ensure safe practices are followed\nUtilise CR360 to report non-conformances, incident and accidents\nKey Attributes and Competencies:\nApplicable Occupational Health and Safety Act of 93, South African\nRoad Traffic Act and governance knowledge\nBusiness and financial acumen\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word and knowledge of SAP\nStrong analytical ability demonstrated\nGood performance track record\nHealth and Safety knowledge\nPeople management experience (an advantage)\nMinimum Requirements:\nRelevant 3 year tertiary degree / diploma\n2-3 years fleet functional work experience\nAdditional information:\n Band: VIII\nSAB is an equal opportunity employer, and all appointments will be made in line with SAB employment equity plan and talent requirements.
