playout of broadcast material in support of all platforms with expected standards and available facilities/ equipment\nKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES\nContribute to operational submissions to Line Manager with regard to Business Unit Strategy input in alignment with the Corporate Plan and the Target Operating Model.\nContribute to Opex Plans\nOpex involvement to input into the project scope development\nParticipate in Capex project and system execution and operational workflows to deliver on functional requirements and avoid on-air disruptions\nContributions of Minor Capex & Opex inputs into departmental budget\nOpex contribution to ensure maintenance and systems sustainability\nAssist the Specialist with marketable Sound/Video skills ensuring alternative Revenue Streams, eg CD Artists Recording, Font of House, Webinars, External Live Broadcasts, etc as per external tariff list\nAgreed % of targets met; Agreed % of resources, equipment and facility availability\nAbove average rating of SLA\nSubmission of ad-hoc incidence fault reports and resolutions to line manager as required\nAdhere to service delivery standards\nAccurate monthly reporting on deliverables (broadcast, recording, production and post production), non-conformance & flagging of potential risks with provided solutions/mitigations\nCoordinate operational production requirements\nSetup, test and operate facility equipment\nRecord as per SOP music/choir and liaise with the music producer and/or conductor; for church recording laisse with the church representative and/or the priest; and for documentary/ speech recording liaise with the station producers).\nSetup and operate camera and Live View for News and external broadcasts\nUnderstanding of mic placements and industry best practises.\nIn the field recordings, mixing and front-of-house for all audio requirements\nRecord multi-layered drama productions with FX, music and different audio streams\nPerform recordings in accordance with customer requirements and broadcast standards\nMonitoring of sound quality during recordings to ensure compliance with broadcast standards\nMonitor for schedule changes as per customer request\nMonitor sound/video quality to broadcast standards\nRecord distributions in line with archiving best practice\nSetup mix-minus\nOperating digital playout systems\nAudio/Visual manipulation of final mix, performed in accordance with customer requirements & broadcast standards (if necessary)\nOn time delivery of production material, within scope & within specifications\nSetup and operate Broadcast Communication conferencing with multi-layer contributions\nContribute to the specification requirements in line with customer requirements & Company Procurement policy & procedures\nEscalate Risk findings reported with corrective treatment plans\nEnsure adherence to OHS and compliance with SABC Company Policies & Procedures\nMaintain discipline in accordance with company policies & procedures\n95% of assets verified annually\nEffective control of all assets falling within area of control and outside broadcasts.\nCustomers served in operational proficient, friendly and helpful manner\nMaintain compliance of services rendered with customer request and address non-conformance\nOperational assistance & guidance to customers regarding capability of facilities and to provide best operational options\nCompliance with performance management policies and procedures\nPerformance agreements with manager annually\nFormal reviews conducted with manager and documented as per deadlines (Quarterly)\nAd-hoc operational presentation and training (In-house) provided on an ongoing basis\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\nSound Engineering Certificate (1 year & above) or Film/Video Technology or Relevant Qualification\nAdvantage: Sound Engineering Diploma (3 years) (NQF Level 6)\nDriver’s License: C1 (Code 10) with PDP\nMinimum 5 years’ experience in broadcast environment, minimum of 3 years on Operator level with relevant experience in Digital Sound & Video within live, production and post production environment.\nKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS\nExcellent communication skills and ability to work in a team and lead the team if required.\nProficiency in MS Office, i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point.\nAbility to work under pressure and handle conflict\nWillingness to work irregular hours and shifts to sustain 24/7 on-air facility
