Our Cape Town-based HR team is looking for an organised, approachable and practical Senior HR Generalist to support the full employee lifecycle and help deliver a positive, consistent employee experience across the business.\nThe successful candidate will provide broad HR generalist support across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, HR administration, reporting and compliance. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys both operational HR delivery and partnering with leadership to resolve people matters professionally and consistently.\nThis role is ideal for someone who is friendly, professional, detail-oriented and solutions-focused, with sound judgement, strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy corporate environment.\nYou’re perfect for this position if you:\nHave an HR-related degree or relevant HR qualification, with at least five (5) years of HR generalist experience.\nHave a solid understanding of HR policies, labour law, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management and learning and development.\nAre confident supporting leadership with practical HR guidance and know when to escalate complex or sensitive matters.\nCan manage multiple priorities, deadlines and stakeholders while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.\nCommunicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.\nAre approachable and able to build trusted working relationships with employees and leaders at all levels.\nUnderstand the importance of confidentiality, fairness and consistency when handling employee matters.\nAre comfortable working with HR systems, employee data, reporting and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.\nAre proactive, organised and solutions-focused, with a willingness to learn and improve HR processes.\nHave a practical understanding of how effective HR support contributes to employee experience, business performance and compliance.\nExtra points if you have:\nExperience in a professional services, financial services or corporate environment.\nExperience working across more than one office, business unit or region.\nExperiencewith HRIS platforms, onboarding workflows or employee data reporting.\nExperience with SETA, WSP and ATR submissions, Employment Equity reporting or similar HR compliance processes.\nExposure to employee engagement, learning and development, wellness or culture initiatives.\nYour role and responsibilities:\nAmong other tasks, your main responsibilities will include:\nSupporting the full recruitment and onboarding process, from job advertising and interviewing through to induction and new starter administration.\nProviding day-to-day HR guidance to managers and employees on policies, procedures, employee relations and people-related matters.\nAssisting with performance management, probation reviews, disciplinary, grievance and capability processes.\nCoordinating learning and development initiatives, training administration and employee engagement activities.\nMaintaining accurate HR records, employee data and documentation while ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.\nProducing HR reports and supporting payroll-related administration, employee lifecycle changes and process improvements.\nSupporting HR compliance, policy implementation, Employment Equity and other statutory reporting requirements where applicable.\nContributing to HR projects, employee experience initiatives and continuous improvement across the HR
