With AI at its core and operating at unparalleled scale, Sabre transforms insights into innovation, empowering airlines, hoteliers, agencies and other partners to retail, distribute and fulfill travel worldwide.\nManager, Site Reliability Engineering\nAbout the Team\nThe Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team for SabreSonic Inventory (SSI) is responsible for the reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence of one of Sabre's most critical components.\nSSI provides inventory management and availability processing for airlines; a \nhigh-performance, scalable, backend and GUI for rules management.\nThe team combines software engineering and operations expertise to manage highly available, fault-tolerant services. Engineers work extensively with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD automation, observability platforms, and AI-driven operational practices to improve reliability while reducing operational toil. The organization partners closely with software engineering, product management, architecture, security, and customer-facing stakeholders across Sabre.\nWhat You'll Do\nAs Manager of Site Reliability Engineering, you will lead a team of SRE engineers responsible for the availability, performance, resiliency, and continuous evolution of SabreSonic Inventory. You will drive operational excellence. You will lead incident management, reliability engineering initiatives, cloud modernization efforts, and automation programs while developing a high-performing engineering team.\nLead and develop a team of Site Reliability Engineers, providing coaching, performance management, career development, and technical leadership.\nDrive service reliability, availability, scalability, and operational excellence across critical production systems and customer-facing platforms.\nPartner with Engineering, Product, Architecture, and Infrastructure teams to establish and achieve Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and reliability targets.\nLead major incident response, postmortem reviews, risk mitigation initiatives, and continuous improvement programs.\nPromote automation, AI-enabled operations, self-healing capabilities, and platform engineering practices to reduce operational toil and improve efficiency.\nRequired Qualifications and Education\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field required.\n5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or a related technical discipline.\n2+ years of people leadership experience, including managing engineers, setting priorities, and developing high-performing teams.\nExperience in maintaining or operating large-scale distributed systems in cloud environments.\nUnderstanding of observability, monitoring, alerting, incident management, capacity planning, and reliability engineering principles.\nPractical experience leveraging automation, analytics, AI-assisted tooling, or generative AI solutions to improve operational effectiveness and engineering productivity.\nFluent English, both written and verbal\nNice-to-have Qualifications\nKnowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud-native architecture.\nExperience implementing SLOs, error budgets, reliability scorecards, and operational maturity programs.\nBackground supporting high-availability, customer-facing SaaS or travel technology platforms.\nWe will give careful consideration to your application and review your details against the position criteria.
