You will be proficient in the product, understand its structure and architecture, its capabilities. You will capture market needs, customer input, usage, data and translate those into user stories that meet customer and market requirements and support the company’s strategy and technical innovation goals. The role possesses a unique blend of business and technical skills, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. Role and Responsibilities:\nDrive product vision & strategy, business requirements documentation and analysis\n\nEnsure alignment to technology strategy throughout product life cycle\n\nManage the product profit & loss (P&L)\n\nManage product area’s investment decisions, scope, roadmap, priorities\n\nUnderstand/monitor product's competitive and market landscape\n\nConduct/attend visits, customer touch-bases, focus groups, conferences\n\nSupport sales engineering and commercial/delivery/care teams\n\nBe the product's subject-matter expert (SME) inside scrum teams\n\nWrite scrum team stories, acceptance criteria\n\nCreate, refine, prioritize scrum team's backlog, and accept work\n\nAttend scrum ceremonies and provide guidance to scrum teams\n\nAnalyze, triage and troubleshoot maintenance issues\n\nConduct demos (internal or external, as needed)\n\nQualifications and Education Requirements:\n5 years of experience working with Airline technology\n\n3 years of experience in market-facing roles (e.g. engaging with customers and prospects)\n\nBusiness and technology-oriented, with a strong product and functional background\n\nAbundant curiosity to delve into unfamiliar areas and quickly become proficient\n\nAbility to present a compelling solution to a business need that is grounded in technology\n\nOwnership mindset of individual and team objectives; with both tactical and strategic thinking to ensure measurable results\n\nAbility to work independently and resolve professional, technical or operational project challenges in a creative, methodical manner\n\nComfortable working in a team-oriented, highly collaborative virtual environment that is geographically distributed\n\nAbility to successfully navigate in a multi-stakeholder environment where there are often competing priorities, goals and challenges across our diverse set of internal and external customers and partners\n\nExcellent self-organization skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize several projects in parallel\n\nStrong business acumen and situational awareness\n\nMust have excellent written and verbal English communications skills, and be a strong public speaker comfortable presenting or demonstrating technology in front of large groups at all levels of an organization\n\nProficient in Microsoft Office use for presentations and written communication\n\nStoryteller and story mapper\n\nAble to well define a product’s feature set\n\nBachelors/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related fields\n\nExperience with Full-Service Carriers, Low-Cost Carriers or Travel Agencies\n\nKnowledge of emerging trends in travel retailing and e-commerce (such as AI/ML, dynamic offers, etc.)\n\nTech-savvy, ability to engage with Engineering colleagues to drive technical solutions\n\nExperience with software development process with Java, C++, SQL is a plus\n\nWe will give careful consideration to your application and review your details against the position criteria.
