Responsibilities\nOperate forklifts to move materials, products, and equipment throughout the facility and yard.\nInspect forklifts, rigging gear, slings, chains, hooks, and lifting devices before use.\nSafely load and unload trucks, trailers, and shipping containers.\nPlan and execute rigging operations for lifting and moving large or oversized loads.\nSelect proper rigging equipment based on load weight, size, and configuration.\nAttach loads using chains, slings, shackles, spreader bars, and other lifting devices.\nGuide crane operators during lifting operations using hand signals and radio communication.\nEnsure loads are properly secured, balanced, and transported safely.\nMaintain accurate records of inspections, equipment usage, and material movement.\nAssist production, fabrication, and shipping departments as needed.\nKeep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.\nReport equipment defects, safety concerns, and incidents immediately.\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED preferred.\nMinimum 2 years of forklift operating experience in manufacturing, fabrication, construction, or industrial environment.\nExperience with rigging, crane operations, and material handling preferred.\nKnowledge of rigging principles, load calculations, and lifting practices.\nAbility to read and understand load charts, work instructions, and safety procedures.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.\nPhysical Requirements\nFrequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in varying weather conditions.\nAbility to work around moving equipment, overhead cranes, and heavy industrial machinery.\nMust have sufficient vision and hearing to operate equipment safely.\nPreferred Skills\nOverhead crane operation experience.\nExperience working with large steel fabrications, structural steel, or heavy equipment.\nWork Environment\nManufacturing, fabrication, warehouse, and outdoor yard environments.\nExposure to noise, dust, welding operations, and varying weather conditions.\nOvertime and weekend work may be required based on production
