Together, we are transforming lives for a digital future.\nRole purpose:\nThe role holder is responsible for the configuration, enhancement, change management and day-to-day technical operation of the Loan Management Platform supporting the company’s Credit Products.\nReporting within the Credit Product & Scoring Technology team, the role translates product and credit requirements into system configurations and technical changes required to launch and operate products such as Airtime Advance, Device Financing, Consumer Loans, Merchant Financing and BNPL.\nThe role works closely with Product & Portfolio, Credit Scoring, Architecture and Technology teams to ensure new products and changes are implemented accurately, securely and efficiently.\n Key accountabilities and decision ownership:\nProduct Configuration & Implementation\nConfigure new Credit Products within the Loan Management Platform based on approved business and credit requirements.\n\nSet up product parameters including eligibility, tenure, pricing, fees, credit limits, repayment schedules and workflow rules.\n\nImplement required changes to existing products, processes and configurations.\n\nSupport product testing, UAT, deployment and post-launch stabilization.\n\nEnsure configurations are accurately aligned with approved product specifications and credit policies.\n\nChange & Release Management\nManage technical changes to the Loan Management Platform through controlled development, testing and release processes.\n\nAssess the system impact of product, policy and operational changes\n\nMaintain configuration records, release documentation and change history.\n\nCoordinate deployment activities and ensure appropriate rollback and contingency plans are in place.\n\nMinimize production disruption and configuration-related defects.\n\nPlatform Operations & Support\nSupport day-to-day operation and technical administration of the Loan Management Platform.\n\nMonitor platform performance, scheduled jobs, interfaces and processing issues.\n\nTroubleshoot system incidents and coordinate resolution with internal teams and platform vendors.\n\nSupport issue investigation related to loan creation, disbursement, repayment, collections and customer account status.\n\nEnsure timely resolution of production issues affecting Credit Products.\n\nIntegration & Technical Support\nSupport integration between the Loan Management Platform, Credit Scoring Engine, M-PESA, customer channels and external partner systems.\n\nWork with the Solution Architect and other engineering teams on APIs, workflows and data exchanges.\n\nSupport implementation and testing of new integrations and partner solutions.\n\nInvestigate interface failures, reconciliation issues and data inconsistencies.\n\nEnsure platform changes remain compatible with dependent systems and interfaces.\n\nControls, Documentation & Continuous Improvement\nMaintain technical and configuration documentation for Credit Products and platform changes.\n\nFollow appropriate access control, security, testing and change-management standards.\n\nIdentify opportunities to automate manual platform operations and configuration activities.\n\nSupport platform upgrades, patches and technical enhancements.\n\nContribute to improving platform scalability, reliability and operational efficiency.\n\nKey performance indicator:\nTimely configuration and launch of new Credit Products.\nAccuracy and quality of product configuration.\nSuccessful implementation of platform changes and releases.\nPlatform availability and operational stability.\nResolution time for production incidents and defects.\nReduction in configuration-related errors and rework.\nEffectiveness of change management and technical documentation.\nSuccessful integration of Loan Management Platform changes with dependent systems\nCore competencies, knowledge and experience:\n2 - 4 years of experience in Software Engineering, Application Support, Platform Configuration, FinTech or related technology roles.\nHands-on experience configuring and supporting enterprise or financial transaction platforms.\nExperience with product configuration, workflow setup and production change management.\nGood understanding of APIs, databases, system integrations and application troubleshooting.\nExperience supporting production systems with high transaction volumes and availability requirements.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving and incident-management capabilities.\nAbility to translate business requirements into system configuration and technical changes.\nStrong collaboration skills across business and technical teams.\n Must have technical / professional qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field.\nExperience with SQL, databases and application configuration.\nUnderstanding of software development, testing, deployment and release-management processes.\nExperience working with APIs and integrated enterprise systems.\nStrong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.\nGood written and verbal communication skills in English.\nDesired\nExperience with Loan Management Systems, Digital Lending Platforms or Core Banking systems.\nExperience within Banking, FinTech, Mobile Financial Services or Telecommunications.\nExperience configuring lending products, repayment workflows or credit processes.\nExperience with DevOps, CI/CD or automated deployment environments.\nFamiliarity with cloud-based platforms and application monitoring tools.\nHow to Apply.
