Med-Eng is world-renowned for its aggressive Research & Development programs and collaborative approach to meeting customer requirements. \n\nTemporary General Assemblers and Sewing Machine Operators\n\nCurrently, our Operations Team is seeking Temporary Mechanical Assemblers and Sewing Machine Operators at our Pembroke, Ontario office. \nSummary:\nThe successful candidates will prepare and assemble/and or sew quality personal protective products.\n\nDuties & Responsibilities:\nOperates production line equipment of a level of complexity requiring the specified training or assembling products, units, machines, equipment, and/or subassemblies that are larger, heavier, and/or more complex;\nMay cut materials;\nDrills, taps, or reams holes, using drill press or portable drill. \nAligns components, and bolts, screws, or rivets them together, using hand tools or portable powered tools; \nTests or assist in testing operation of completed product; \nAssists more junior operators in performance of skilled function;\nMay repair units that fail to meet specifications;\nMounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on chassis panel;\nPerform inspection to ensure maintenance of quality standards;\nMay perform assembly operations under microscope or other magnifying device;\nOther duties as required\n\nQualifications:\nUnderstand safety features and safe operation methods for all machines;\nAt least two (2) years of production/manufacturing experience;\nAbility to communicate and read in English;
