If you value creativity, are into cars and electronics, appreciate a fast-paced work environment, and need interesting work that will allow you to truly have an impact on a business, then this is the place for you.\nLocation: Detroit, MI\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nWorking and reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, the new Automotive Installer will perform all upfitting tasks, which include but are not limited to:\nInstalling all equipment necessary to modify brand-new vehicles into police and emergency vehicles. This includes routing and installing wire harnesses, controllers, partitions, auxiliary batteries, light bars, push bumpers, power supplies, component trays, and consoles.\nDisassembling and reassembling factory vehicles\nExpected to read drawings, including electrical schematics with limited help.\nMust be comfortable working in an industrial environment that may require heavy physical duties. Work will involve frequent standing, bending, twisting, stooping and kneeling.\nFieldwork may be required at times as well as varying work hours.\nSome overtime may be required.\nWork independently, maintain accurate records, find efficiencies while respecting quality, and contributing ideas to the company.\nSupply own basic set of tools commonly used in the performance of automotive repair work.
