Sound like you?\nWork for the Smart Safety Company\nLocation: American Van Equipment -\n The Manufacturing Planner, Scheduler is an important hub in the manufacturing process. This busy professional schedules and releases work orders for assigned ROM, Safe Fleet product lines. The Planner partners with Production Supervisors and Leads, Purchasing staff, Customer Service staff and site Operations Director regarding the status and requirements of orders or projects.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nWorks closely with Production Team in order to schedule work order releases to meet customer and system driven production requirements\nWorks closely with Customer Service regarding ship dates and coordinates expedites\nDrives production to complete work orders on-time and to drive Production to perform necessary clocking operations to close out open jobs/work orders\nWorks closely with Purchasing ensuring availability of materials for existing and planned work orders\nTroubleshoots discrepancies between real and expected production capacity\nDESIRED ATTRIBUTES:\nThe ideal candidate must have: \nPlanning, Scheduling or Purchasing experience in a Manufacturing environment\nAbility to effectively manage the flow of work orders to optimize production performance \nAbility to communicate needs to Purchasing and Production departments with conviction while maintaining a positive and professional work environment\nStrong desire to understand and improve system tools\nThe ability to enjoy the challenges, fast pace, urgency, and rewards of a manufacturing environment\nAbility to read a measuring tape and read measurements on prints\nThe ideal candidate must be:\nSystems oriented\nTeam player\nHighly organized\nHighly safety-minded\nInquisitive\nDemonstrable problem-solving skills\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nExperience in ERP - Syteline or other Infor product desired\nStrong Excel proficiency - V Lookup, Pivots, Custom Filters and Macros preferred. VBA in Excel desired\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nFamiliarity with quality standards, principles, practices, and procedures\nDemonstrated leadership or previous position where leaned upon as primary problem-solver\nEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:\nHigh school education or equivalent\nMinimum of 3-5 years' experience in a Manufacturing Planning or Scheduling role\nConsideration given to Production Supervision or Purchasing experience\nExperience participating or managing annual physical inventory is a plus\nAt Safe Fleet, you are empowered to build a career that will take you where you want to go.
