We are responsible for architecting and maintaining a number of powerful infrastructure tools and pipelines that powers our Cloud applications, as well as maintaining many complex systems such as our CI/CD systems, Kubernetes clusters, internal developer tools, and the many automated services that maximize the efficiency of our developers. Ultimately, we enable our teams to develop and deploy our Cloud applications to a secure, reliable, and robust infrastructure.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nAs a DevOps II at Safe Software, you will be contributing to the maintenance of infrastructure and pipelines that enable the development, testing, and delivery of our Cloud applications. This includes, but not limited to…\nMonitoring and Updating Infrastructure. Using “infrastructure as code” principles, we continuously monitor and improve our infrastructure that supports our applications.C\n\nCloud Optimization. On the DevOps team, we take pride in being able to explore and incorporate new industry technologies into our processes. We strive to ensure that our AWS usage costs do not grow unnecessarily, using monitoring to make cost-saving enhancements to our systems.\n\nAnalyzing and Improving CI/CD Pipelines. Our CI/CD pipelines are very important for our developers, so we want to continuously improve our pipelines to provide faster feedback.\n\nScripting and Automations. As engineers, we pride ourselves on speed and efficiency. We need to make sure our pipelines are automated with scripts to allow repetition.\n\nDay to Day Responsibilities\nFixing defects or adding new capabilities to our Cloud infrastructure\n\nDeveloping and maintaining software tools that aid our development teams.\n\nPracticing Kanban style Agile Development with Jira\n\nResearching and Learning new tools and technologies\n\nReviewing and updating automation pipelines via Jenkins or GitHub Actions\n\nParticipate in team meetings to provide updates and report newly-identified issues\n\nFinding, analyzing, and remediating infrastructure related security issues\n\nQualifications, Skills and Competencies\nA Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.\n\n2-3 years of DevOps and Platform Engineering or related work experience\n\nKnowledge or experience with Docker and or Kubernetes.\n\nKnowledge or experience with Cloud Platforms: Amazon AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure.\n\nYou are familiar with scripting languages such as Python, Powershell and/or Bash\n\nYou have a working knowledge of databases and SQL.\n\nYou are self-motivated and proactive, with a strong desire to learn new tools and the latest technologies.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nExcellent planning, organizational and time management skills.\n\nThrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment - you are not afraid of fast-paced change!\n\nYou are a critical thinker with a curious mind and a love for problem solving.\n\nYou embrace working in a team-oriented environment, and have a passion for helping others.\n\nBonus Points\nExperience with CI/CD Tools or Platforms (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions)\n\nExperience with Kanban or other Agile methodologies.\n\nExperience with different operating systems (e.g. MacOS, Ubuntu).\n\nExperience with popular IDEs.
