This position plays a key role in the QA organization, ensuring devices behave correctly across BLE, Wi-Fi, NFC, secure boot, OTA updates, and the full credential-presentation flow.\nThis role focuses on hands-on device testing, tooling, and defect triage, and contributes to Safetrust's continued growth by ensuring firmware releases are reliable in real environments before they reach customers.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and validation procedures for embedded firmware and connected devices.\nPerform functional, integration, regression, system, interoperability, end-to-end, performance, stress, endurance, and environmental testing across Safetrust's embedded product portfolio.\nValidate firmware functionality across BLE, Wi-Fi, NFC, Ethernet, USB, wired, and other communication interfaces under normal and adverse operating conditions, including edge cases such as low signal strength, interference, and power loss.\nVerify secure boot, OTA firmware updates, factory provisioning, credential management, encryption, and recovery mechanisms.\nDevelop automated test scripts, frameworks, and small tooling using Python, Shell, or other scripting languages to improve regression coverage, testing efficiency, and log analysis.\nDesign, build, maintain, and continuously improve hardware test labs, fixtures, automation rigs, racks, instrumentation, and validation environments.\nInvestigate firmware defects and customer-reported field issues by collecting logs, reproducing issues, analyzing root causes, and partnering with engineering teams to resolve problems.\nTrack and document defects with detailed reproduction steps, logs, risk assessments, impact assessments, and recommended corrective actions in the bug-tracking system.\nParticipate in design reviews, requirements reviews, and release readiness activities to ensure quality is built into products early.\nCollaborate with Firmware, Embedded Linux, Hardware, AI, Mobile, Cloud, and Product teams throughout the software development lifecycle.\nDevelop and maintain regression test suites supporting continuous integration, continuous delivery pipelines, and release sign-off criteria.\nMonitor quality metrics including defect leakage, regression coverage, release readiness, and production quality trends.\nSupport manufacturing validation, production testing, and investigation of customer-reported field issues.\nContinuously improve QA methodologies, automation coverage, and testing standards across Safetrust's engineering organization.\nSkills & Experience:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related field.\n1-3 years of QA experience, ideally on hardware/firmware or IoT products (Junior: 1-2; Middle: 2-3+).\nWorking knowledge of software QA methodologies, test planning, and bug-tracking tools (Jira or similar).\nComfortable using lab equipment such as multimeters, logic analyzers, and serial console tools.\nBasic scripting in Python or shell for log parsing and test automation.\nUnderstanding of common protocols: BLE, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, USB, UART.\nStrong attention to detail, methodical approach, and good written English for clear bug reports.\nNice to Have / Preferred\nExperience with access-control, RFID/NFC, or IoT device testing.\nExposure to test automation frameworks (pytest, Robot Framework).\nFamiliarity with embedded debug tools (J-Link, ST-Link, oscilloscopes).\nISTQB Foundation Level certification.\nSuccess Profile:\nThe ideal candidate is:\nMethodical and detail-oriented when validating hardware/firmware behaviour.\nHands-on and comfortable working directly with lab equipment and physical devices.\nA clear communicator who writes precise, reproducible bug reports.\nAble to triage and troubleshoot issues independently before escalating.\nComfortable working across regions and functions in a global environment (Vietnam, US, Australia).\nWhy you'll love working here\nCompetitive salary based on experience and performance\n13th-month salary \nDaily lunch is provided at the office\nFree coffee, tea, and refreshments\nFull statutory insurance (social, health, unemployment)\nAnnual health check-up and paid annual leaves\nProfessional, international working environment\nWorking Location:Level 6 Khanh Hoi 2 Building 360A Ben Van Don, Vinh Hoi, Ho Chi Minh City\nSafetrust is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
