This is a true generalist role: on any given day, you might be pulling together a quarterly grant report, reconciling vendor invoices, setting up a new hire's laptop, or negotiating a software contract.\nThis role is ideal for someone who finds satisfaction in making complex things run smoothly, can toggle between high-level strategy and ground-level execution without losing quality, and genuinely enjoys the variety that comes with a startup environment.\nWhat you’ll own\nFinance & Accounting Partnership\nServe as the primary internal point of contact for the company's outsourced accounting, finance, and tax partners\nOwn the flow of information between Safety Radar and external finance teams, ensuring timely delivery of documentation, approvals, and data\nReview and validate financial reports, budgets, and forecasts prepared by external partners\nSupport investor and board reporting by coordinating inputs and ensuring accuracy\nBuild and maintain internal financial models as needed to support leadership decision-making\nSystems Administration\nManage internal tools and platforms (e.g., Slack, Airtable, Google Workspace, hardware inventory)\nEvaluate, implement, and maintain software systems as the company scales\nServe as the go-to person for troubleshooting internal tech and process issues\nGeneral Operations\nNegotiate vendor and service contracts\nManage office operations, procurement, and equipment\nIdentify and fix operational bottlenecks before they become problems\nGrant Management & Compliance\nManage the full lifecycle of grant reporting: quarterly reports, Request for Proposals (RFPs), payment requests, and compliance documentation. \nTrack deadlines, deliverables, and funding requirements across active grants. \nCoordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate submissions. \nWhat we’re looking for\n3-5 years of experience in operations, business administration, or a similar generalist role. Startup or high-growth experience strongly preferred. \nWorking knowledge of accounting and finance fundamentals (enough to review reports, ask the right questions, and manage the relationship with partners effectively)\nStrong systems thinking: you can evaluate, implement, and manage software tools without relying on an IT department. \nProficiency in using work management platforms like Slack, Airtable, Linear, and Asana.\nExceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, especially under competing deadlines\nClear, professional communication.
