Supports the Saft World Class initiative as required.\nRequirements\nProvide quality engineering support to all departments including engineering, operations, program management, etc. \nGenerally assist with identifying, analyzing and developing improvements in productivity (Lean manufacturing), quality and client/supplier relationships. \nSupport customer/supplier communications (complaints, rating, product quality concerns) and ensure compliance of process specifications to customer requirements.\nParticipate as necessary in change order review process.\nTrain and/or support inspectors, coordinators, and operators in daily operations\nUtilize root cause analysis tools to determine true root causes of product and process defects.\n MUST BE A US CITIZEN OR GREEN CARD HOLDER\nResponsibilities\nExtensive experience with supplier management/validation is required. \nEITHER a degree plus 3 years of quality engineer experience.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred \nExperience must be in a manufacturing environment\n\nQuality engineering experience in an ISO-9001/AS9100 environment preferred\nASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred\nExperience with First Article Inspection is preferred\nWorking knowledge and experience with Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) preferred \nProven experience in statistical process capability (SPC) analysis desired\nConfiguration Management experience is required, preferably with AS9100-D \nAudit process knowledge preferred (AS9100-D, ISO 9001:2015, Nadcap, etc.)\nInvestigation of non-conformances and continuous improvement using RCCA tools such as 8D, 5-Why, PFMEA\nKnowledge of laboratory protocol, inspection tools and manufacturing equipment \nDesired certifications include: IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, J-STD-001, AS9100-D Internal Auditing \nSix-sigma knowledge or certification preferred.\nReview of customer documentation to include contracts, statements of work, purchase order quality clauses, drawings and specifications\nCandidates must have excellent record keeping and organizational skills, good interpersonal and cross-departmental communication skills and computer proficiency.\n MUST BE A US CITIZEN OR GREEN CARD HOLDER\n\nWorking Conditions\n\nDry room atmosphere - low humidity, air conditioned\nSafety glasses required\nStanding - 50%\nSitting 50% \n\nWhat We Offer\nWhether you are just getting started or are an experienced professional, we offer a robust total rewards package to include generous compensation based on market standards, healthcare, wellness, adoption assistance, discounted stock purchase, career development and recognition programs.
