We are now partnering with health systems there to deploy our AI-powered care navigation platform.\nAbout the Role\nWe’re hiring a hands-on Cloud Engineer to help architect, scale, and harden the infrastructure powering Sage Care’s AI-driven healthcare platform.\nThis role sits at the center of our engineering delivery engine - owning cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes platform reliability, CI/CD pipelines, and Bazel-based build systems. You’ll work closely with backend and AI engineers to ensure our systems are secure, observable, and built to support real-time, production-grade healthcare workloads.\nAs a Series A company experiencing rapid growth, we need someone who can move fluidly between infrastructure architecture, release engineering, and production reliability - and who takes pride in building clean, automated systems that reduce risk and increase developer velocity.\nThis is a high-impact role with meaningful ownership. You won’t just maintain infrastructure - you’ll shape how it evolves as we scale.\nKey Responsibilities\nInfrastructure Architecture & Automation\nDesign, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure in GCP using Terraform.\n\nArchitect and manage Kubernetes (GKE) clusters across dev, staging, and production.\n\nImprove networking, IAM, ingress architecture, and environment isolation.\n\nBuild reusable infrastructure modules and eliminate configuration drift.\n\nEnsure infrastructure is scalable, cost-efficient, and production-grade.\n\nCI/CD & Deployment Reliability\nDesign and maintain CI/CD pipelines that enable safe, rapid deployments.\n\nOwn and optimize Bazel build configuration, caching, and reproducibility.\n\nImprove build performance and developer velocity within a monorepo environment.\n\nImplement safe release strategies (canary, blue/green, rollbacks).\n\nEnsure environment parity and reduce deployment-related incidents.\n\nObservability & Reliability\nImplement and improve logging, monitoring, and alerting across services and Kubernetes workloads.\n\nEstablish SLIs/SLOs and drive reliability improvements.\n\nReduce MTTR through improved visibility and incident response processes.\n\nImprove production readiness standards and postmortem practices.\n\nEnsure infrastructure supports increasing AI workloads and real-time traffic.\n\nSecurity & Compliance\nStrengthen IAM, secrets management, and least-privilege access controls.\n\nHarden Kubernetes clusters and cloud infrastructure against misconfiguration.\n\nPartner with security leadership to support HIPAA and SOC2 compliance requirements.\n\nImprove auditability, change tracking, and infrastructure governance.\n\nEmbed security best practices directly into CI/CD and build workflows.\n\nQualifications\nRequired\n4-7+ years of DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering experience.\n\nStrong hands-on experience with GCP and Kubernetes (GKE preferred).\n\nDeep experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code.\n\nExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.\n\nExperience working with Bazel or similar build systems in production environments.\n\nStrong understanding of networking, IAM, and cloud security fundamentals.\n\nExperience supporting production systems with uptime requirements.\n\nNice to Have\nExperience supporting HIPAA or SOC2 environments.\n\nExperience in early-stage or high-growth startups.\n\nFamiliarity with AI/ML infrastructure or real-time systems.\n\nExperience with release engineering best practices in
