We work with health systems across the U.S. and have expanded internationally to the MENA region, where we are partnering with healthcare organizations to deploy our AI-powered care navigation platform.\nAbout the Role\nWe're hiring a Partner Engineer to own the technical relationship with 3-5 of our health system partners, from first integration through go-live, expansion, and day-to-day operations.\nWe call our customers partners because we work that closely with them. Every partner is scaling with us: adding clinics, workflows, and call volume. We're growing from a handful of partners, and each one needs to feel supported and never forgotten. The Partner Engineer is the person who makes that true.\nThis is a high-ownership role at the intersection of engineering, customer relationships, and product. You'll connect Sage Care to partners' EHRs and phone systems. You'll configure and launch our AI voice and matching products for each partner's workflows, and you'll be the first responder when something breaks. You'll work inside partners' environments alongside their IT, access, and clinical teams, and bring what you learn back to our product and engineering teams.\nThis role is ideal for a strong engineer who likes being close to customers, is energized by messy real-world systems like Epic, HL7, faxes, and phone trees, and wants to turn one-off partner work into a repeatable playbook.\nResponsibilities\nOwn Partner Relationships\nServe as the technical owner and trusted point of contact for 3-5 health system partners.\n\nKeep partners and Sage Care leadership informed with clear, regular communication.\n\nSpend time on-site with partners during integrations and go-lives.\n\nSupport pre-sale conversations and scoping with prospective partners.\n\nConnect Sage Care to Partner Systems\nConnect Sage Care to each partner's systems, workflows, and data.\n\nBuild partner-specific tooling, automations, and integrations when needed.\n\nWork closely with our Epic integration team and partner IT teams to deliver EHR work.\n\nLaunch and Improve Agents\nConfigure, test, and launch Sage Care's AI agents for each partner.\n\nTune agent behavior and the patient experience using real call data.\n\nHelp partners expand to new clinics, workflows, and use cases.\n\nKeep Partners Live and Healthy\nBe the first responder when something breaks, and close the loop with partners.\n\nMonitor partner quality and catch issues before partners notice them.\n\nReport on partner performance with metrics partners trust.\n\nWork Across Teams\nHelp product and engineering discover, triage, and prioritize issues from the field.\n\nTurn partner feedback and recurring problems into product improvements.\n\nContribute to internal projects beyond your own partners.\n\nMake Every Partner Easier Than the Last\nTurn one-off partner work into repeatable processes, tooling, and documentation.\n\nUse AI and automation to create leverage in your own work.\n\nQualifications\nRequired\n4+ years of Partner, solutions, or forward-deployed engineering experience, with strong coding and SQL skills.\n\nExperience integrating with and debugging third-party systems in production.\n\nStrong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.\n\nA high-ownership generalist who enjoys juggling many partners and projects.\n\nWillingness to travel to partner sites, up to 50%, concentrated around integrations and go-lives.\n\nExperience in healthcare, or a strong interest in working in it.\n\nEven Better\nExperience with Epic or other EHR integrations.\n\nExperience at a startup.\n\nExperience with voice AI, telephony, or LLM-based products.\n\nFamiliarity with cloud infrastructure, ideally GCP.\n\nWhat Success Looks Like\nEvery partner you own has a clear technical owner, trusts you, and never feels forgotten.\n\nNew partners go from signed to live faster, with fewer custom steps each time.\n\nPartner issues are caught and resolved quickly, often before the partner notices.\n\nOnboarding a new clinic or partner follows a shared runbook and go-live checklist, and partner-specific knowledge lives in config and tooling, not in one person's head.\n\nEngineering priorities reflect real partner needs because you brought the evidence.\n\nYour partners expand with Sage Care, adding clinics, workflows, and use cases.\n\nWhy This Role Matters\nOur product only works when it's connected to a partner's real systems and workflows: their EHR, their phone lines, their SOPs, and their people.
