Developer (React Native + Expo)\n\nLocation: Lagos (Remote)\n\nEmployment Type: Contract\n\nAbout the Role\n\nThe ideal candidate will be responsible for building high-quality, scalable, and user-friendly mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms.\nYou will work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver reliable mobile experiences while ensuring performance, security, and maintainability.\nWe are looking for a skilled and passionate Mobile Developer with strong experience in React Native and Expo to join our engineering team.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nBuild reusable, scalable, and efficient mobile components.\nOptimize mobile applications for performance, speed, and reliability.\nIntegrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.\nManage application state using modern state management solutions.\nCollaborate with backend developers to define and integrate APIs.\nImplement authentication flows, push notifications, deep linking, and app navigation.\nParticipate in code reviews and follow mobile development best practices.\nDebug and resolve application issues across Android and iOS devices.\nHandle mobile app builds and deployments using Expo Application Services (EAS).\nPublish and manage applications on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.\nDesign, develop, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native and Expo.\nConvert UI/UX designs into responsive and pixel-perfect mobile interfaces.\nWrite clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.\n\nRequirements\n\nFamiliarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.\nExperience with navigation libraries such as React Navigation.\nGood understanding of responsive design across different screen sizes.\nAbility to integrate REST APIs and third-party SDKs.\nStrong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.\nExperience handling local storage solutions such as AsyncStorage, SQLite, or SecureStore.\nUnderstanding of mobile application architecture and lifecycle.\nExperience with React Hooks and functional components.\nMust have completed NYSC.\nHands-on experience with Expo framework and Expo Application Services (EAS).\nExperience with state management tools (Redux, Zustand, Context API, or similar).\nStrong experience building mobile applications with React Native.\nExperience debugging applications using React Native development tools.\nUnderstanding of mobile authentication and security best practices.\n\nNice to Have:\n\nUnderstanding of App Store and Play Store review processes.\nExperience with performance monitoring tools such as Sentry.\nKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.\nExperience working with native modules.\nKnowledge of Swift or Kotlin is a plus.\nExperience implementing maps, geolocation, payments, camera, and media features.\nExperience with Firebase services (Authentication, Cloud Messaging, Analytics,
