This team member serves as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a positive and professional experience, while also managing referrals, insurance verifications, and appointment coordination.\nThis position is based in the Little Rock center but will require coverage at other centers within the market as needed. The ideal candidate is flexible, organized, and passionate about delivering exceptional patient-centered care.\nWhat you'll do\nFront Desk Responsibilities:\nGreet patients and guests warmly upon arrival\nConduct check-in/check-out processes via Electronic Health Record (EHR)\nAssist patients with completing paperwork and update EHR with current information\nCollect co-payments and verify insurance prior to appointments\nAnswer and triage incoming phone calls, routing as necessary\nMake appointment reminder calls and reschedule as needed\nMaintain patient confidentiality and secure health information\nScan and index documents into the EHR\nAddress patient concerns or problems as they arise\nCollaborate with clinical team members to ensure smooth office operations\nParticipate in interdisciplinary team discussions on patient care plans and outcomes\nCare Coordination Responsibilities:\nReview and process referral requests from PCPs and specialists\nSchedule appointments and communicate details to patients, including prep instructions\nProcess insurance authorizations via health plan platforms (e.g., Availity)\nSchedule urgent referrals per provider request\nMonitor and update open referral reports and follow up on pending consults\nEnsure referral documentation (e.g., consult notes, diagnostics) is complete and available\nNotify PCPs of missed specialist appointments and coordinate rescheduling\nCoordinate surgical clearance documentation for external providers as needed\nSupport communication between patients, providers, and external offices\nProvide administrative support to maintain smooth care coordination workflows\nQualifications\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nOffice Administrative/Receptionist/Clerical/Customer Service experience in a fast-paced, heavy phones environment.\nProfessional demeanor and communication always.\nMust be organized and attentive to detail.\nAbility to manage competing priorities.\nResourcefulness in problem solving.\nAble to take and follow through with assigned tasks and accountability.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment.\nExperience with Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, and Excel.\nFull COVID-19 vaccination (including boosters) an essential requirement of this role.
