This is a hybrid role, three days per week in the office.\nRequired Skills\nMaster's or Bachelor's Degree in Design, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, or related fields, or equivalent combination of experience and education.\n5+ years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, or similar role, participating in the complete product development lifecycle of several successfully launched web and/or enterprise software applications.\nProficiency in a variety of design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Miro, etc.\nPractical experience using AI tools to speed up design workflows (ideation, prototyping, research), alongside the ability to design trustworthy, transparent user experiences for AI-powered product features. Share effective practices that improve team speed and capability.\nFluency in user-centered design best practices and trends across web and mobile platforms, as well as knowledge of usability principles and techniques.\nFamiliarity with the technical considerations and technologies needed when designing for web and mobile platforms.\nExcellent communication, presentation, and persuasion skills with cross-functional teams and stakeholders; experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for the implementation of designs.\nStrong bias for action; ability to juggle multiple priorities and deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Proven ability to move forward while navigating ambiguity with minimal direction.\nA compelling online portfolio of sketches, wireframes, prototypes, hi-res comps, etc., that clearly express your ability to create successful user-centered design solutions.\nNice to Have\nSignificant experience with cloud financial and/or operational management application solutions, and how AI/ML can play a role in user's experiences.\nCross-functional product leadership. Influence priorities and trade-offs with product and engineering leaders. Surface dependencies, risks and unresolved decisions early; create shared clarity through strong storytelling, prototypes and decision-ready recommendations.\nResponsibilities\nResponsibilities\nStrategic Leadership: Partner with product management to set the vision and priorities for revolutionizing user experience in business applications. Influence the strategic direction and ensure alignment with overall business goals.\nDesign Execution: Create end-to-end user experiences for new and existing product offerings, simplifying user workflows. Quickly iterate on designs using conceptual diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes, delivering clear and detailed final design specs.\nCustomer Research: Partner with user researchers to gain insights for solution development, applying proven and innovative techniques.\nCollaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, content designers, and visual designers to implement designs, ensuring brand consistency and modern aesthetics across web and mobile products.\nStandards and Guidelines: Understand and follow the appropriate design systems, influencing and evolving design standards and guidelines to improve overall user experience quality. Balance consistency with platform realities while raising the quality of the broader Sage experience.\nUsability and Evaluation: Apply usability heuristics and current design best practices to evaluate new and existing features, offering viable suggestions for improvements.\nCommunication: Effectively communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale, and specifics of the user-centered design process to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.\nAdaptability: Navigate ambiguity and minimal direction, excelling in rapidly evolving environments while balancing business needs and technology constraints.\nOwnership through delivery: Stay engaged from concept through implementation and post-launch learning.
