Both parents own their own business, with one working outside the home and the other managing her company from home full time. Our children are 2.5 and 13 months, and we also have a beloved 9-year-old 50-pound aussie/pointer mix dog.\nWe are in a season of transition as our youngest starts full-time daycare at the end of June and we continue settling into our newly built home after moving in this past December. We are excited to establish routines and systems that allow us to spend more quality time together as a family. We are grateful to have the support of nearby family, and often have grandparents helping throughout the week. You enjoy working in a busy family environment where you can provide structure by managing household needs and logistics. While this is not a childcare role, you like children and understand that as ours grow and change, our needs might evolve. You are friendly and value building a long-term relationship while maintaining professionalism-you are someone who can read the room, engage in light conversation when appropriate, and maintain clear boundaries.\nKey Responsibilities:\nHousehold Organization & Maintenance\nMaintain daily tidiness throughout the home with particular focus on first-floor common areas (kitchen, great room, entryway)\nReset and tidy daily: put items away, wipe down counters, load/unload dishwasher, manage trash and recycles, vacuum high-traffic areas and couches\nPrepare home for weekly house cleaners\nCut and arrange fresh flowers in vases\nCoordinate donation drop-offs\nManage seasonal clothing swaps for children as directed, being mindful of cleaning out sizes as they grow\nReset guest room when visitors stay\nProvide transportation for children (pickups and/or drop offs) on a rare basis, as needed\nWalk dog occasionally\nManage pet supply inventory\nInventory & Errands\nRun miscellaneous errands as requested: returns, dog food, steak and kitchen knife sharpening, gift shopping\nRestock all household supplies (toiletries, paper goods, cleaning products)\nMaintain running household supply list\nBreak down boxes and manage recycling\nMeal Support\nCreate grocery list and shop in-person for all grocery items based on provided weekly meal plan\nPut groceries away and wash/prep (e.g. chop, store) fruits and vegetables for easy snacking\nPrepare simple slow cooker meals approximately 1-2 times per month (10-minute assembly)\nBatch meal prep for weekly adult lunches (simple chopping and assembly for salads, etc.) and family breakfasts as requested\nPrep school lunches for children as requested\nMaintain clean and organized kitchen\nLaundry & Linens\nCollect, wash, dry, fold, and organize family laundry\nProvide special care for garments regularly: steam, iron, stain treat, etc.\nCoordinate with dry cleaning pickup/delivery service\nRotate bed linens and towels, remake beds\nMaintain tidy and well-stocked laundry areas\nVendor & Property Oversight\nServe as on-site contact for home maintenance vendors\nCoordinate and schedule annual maintenance services: window washing, gutter cleaning, HVAC using provided vendor list\nCreate and manage routine maintenance calendar for the home and follow through on scheduled maintenance appointments; communicate with family on progress as needed\nTidy outdoor space before entertaining (light weeding, wiping down outdoor furniture, cleaning off and/or putting out pool toys, ensuring drink fridge is stocked)\nAdministrative & Event Support\nAssist with coordination for hosting events, including scheduling vendors (caterers, bartenders, etc.) and light prep tasks (e.g. assembling cheese plates)\nPrepare home for entertaining, including outdoor spaces, as needed\nBook reservations for travel or local entertainment as needed\nTrack receipts, etc. for work-related expenses\nDeep Cleaning & Special Projects\nPeriodic toy rotation and decluttering as requested\nDeep clean humidifiers and espresso machine on a regular schedule\nClean kitchen cabinets (wipe exterior and vacuum crumbs inside)\nHow to Apply\nIf interested, please submit the following:\nA brief letter explaining why you would be a great fit for this position\nYour updated resume\nAt least 3 professional references with contact information\nNote that this role requires a background check.\nWhen you apply with Sage Haus, you’ll also be added to our candidate community email list so we can share hiring updates, resources, and opportunities.
