Qualified candidates for this position will enhance their decision-making skills every day.\nThis role will be onsite for a minimum of 3 days a week in our Tampa, FL office.\n\nWhat you’d be doing: \nSupports Underwriters by performing various data collection and file preparation work. Preview and prepare SOV (statement of values) and successfully ingest it into the system for Underwriting review and pricing.\nPursues missing information from applications, endorsements, and other written correspondence by contacting brokers, agents, and customers for resolution.\nUnderwrites endorsement, reinstatement, and cancellation transactions, all within prescribed authority levels.\nProcess underwriting endorsements within underwriting authority.\nAnalyze data (year build, square footage, win mitigation forms, loss runs, and appraisals) and prepare recommendations for Underwriters.\nOrders and manages inspection requests to ensure all are received and returned. Screens inspections for UW to ensure nothing is uncovered in the inspection that would change the risk's acceptability or price point.\nPerforms data entry of insurance requests within underwriting authority.\nTakes agent calls, answers, and resolves service-related questions.\nConducts policy reviews, ensuring compliance with underwriting rules, policies, practices, and procedures.\nWorks independently and exercises judgment in selecting and interpreting data and prioritization of work.\nMay update the underwriting system.\nWorks with Compliance on responses to DOI complaints made by the insured.\nRequests underwriting and state-mandated requirements based on guidelines.\nMay perform other related duties and special projects as assigned or requested.\n\nWe’re looking for someone who has: \nHigh School Diploma or equivalent minimum \nA minimum of 2 years of Property-Casualty insurance with underwriting support experience is preferred.\nStrong working knowledge of Excel and other company systems.\nAbility to work in a team environment essential.\nProven organizational skills and ability with strong attention to detail.\nDemonstrated ability to work independently on multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.\nInterest in continued education and professional development to obtain full underwriting authority.\nKnowledge of policy processing and documentation.\nKnowledge of applicable insurance products, standard business policies, practices, and procedures.\nGeneral understanding of basic analytical and financial techniques.\nMaintains an understanding and adheres to state-specific statutes involving underwriting, applicable insurance laws, and regulations.\nWorks well with management and co-workers.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills. \nHighly preferred candidates also have: \nAssociate degree or Bachelor’s degree \nExperience specifically in the Commercial Lines Excess & Surplus insurance space \nPrior Customer Service experience \nAbout SageSure:\nNamed among the Best Places to Work in Insurance by Business Insurance for four years in a row (2020-2023), SageSure is one of the largest managing general underwriters (MGU) focused on catastrophe-exposed property in the US.
