You will help document and strengthen operational processes, support an external AI-based submission intake solution, and identify practical opportunities to reduce manual work so underwriters can focus on writing and retaining profitable business.\nWhat you’d be doing:\nSupport Commercial Property submission intake and related administrative workflows.\nDocument current processes, business requirements, handoffs, and operating procedures across GeoVera and SageSure systems.\nAnalyze workflows to identify bottlenecks, manual work, data quality issues, and opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.\nAssist with implementation and scaling of an external AI-based submission intake solution.\nTrack issues, action items, milestones, and follow-up activities to support consistent workflow execution.\nPrepare basic reports and maintain accurate spreadsheets that support operating and reporting discipline.\nCollaborate with underwriting, product, technology, and actuarial partners on process improvement initiatives.\nHelp develop practical recommendations that improve submission intake, workflow handoffs, and underwriting capacity.\nComplete collaborative project work and an individual or team Capstone focused on a Commercial operational challenge.\nReceive coaching, mentoring, and developmental feedback from SageSure professionals\n\nWe’re looking for someone who has: \nAn undergraduate education pursuing a degree in business, insurance, risk management, operations, analytics, information systems, or a related field.\nA graduation date in May 2027.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and reasoning skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nAbility to organize details, manage multiple priorities, and follow through on commitments.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively as a team member.\nCuriosity, initiative, and an interest in learning underwriting operations and process improvement.\nAuthorization to work in the United States.\n\nHighly preferred candidates also have: \nPrior internship, project, or coursework experience related to insurance, underwriting, operations, analytics, or process improvement.\nGPA of 3.0 or higher.\nExperience documenting processes, workflows, or business requirements.\nExperience using spreadsheets to organize, validate, analyze, or report data.\nFamiliarity with project tracking, issue tracking, or continuous improvement concepts.\nAI automation, or workflow technology experience or coursework, including applied AI, machine learning, natural language processing, or workplace analytics tools.\nInterest in commercial property insurance and operational effectiveness.\nAbout SageSure:\nNamed among the Best Places to Work in Insurance by Business Insurance for four years in a row (2020-2023), SageSure is one of the largest managing general underwriters (MGU) focused on catastrophe-exposed property in the US.
