Candidates must be able to get a security clearance.\nThis role may also include responsibilities for Tableau Server and/or Power BI Report Server administration, making it well-suited for candidates who can bridge both development and platform administration functions.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau and Microsoft Power BI\nTranslate complex business requirements into clear, intuitive, and performant visualizations\nBuild operational, tactical, and executive-level reporting solutions supporting program health, KPI tracking, performance trends, and compliance monitoring\nDevelop drill-down and self-service reporting capabilities enabling business users to explore data independently\nCreate and maintain calculated fields, measures, KPIs, and business logic within both platforms\nDevelop high-volume transactional reports with data export capabilities\nEnsure dashboards are optimized for performance, scalability, and usability across user groups\nConnect to and model data from a variety of sources including relational databases, cloud data warehouses, flat files, and APIs\nBuild and maintain semantic data models, published data sources, and reusable datasets\nWrite and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation\nCollaborate with data engineering teams on data pipeline design, reporting views, aggregations, and data quality standards\nConsume curated, analytics-ready datasets from centralized data warehouses; avoid direct querying of operational systems where possible\nSupport data governance practices including documentation of data definitions, lineage, and refresh schedules\nDeploy, configure, and administer Tableau Server including high-availability environments\nManage Power BI Service administration including workspaces, capacity management, and gateway configuration\nManage user accounts, roles, permissions, and content governance across both platforms\nMonitor platform performance, manage extract and refresh schedules, and troubleshoot issues\nSupport platform upgrades, patching, and licensing management in coordination with IT and procurement teams\nImplement and manage Row-Level Security (RLS) across both Tableau and Power BI environments, where required\nEmbed Tableau dashboards using Tableau Connected Apps with JWT-based SSO\nSupport enterprise authentication integrations\nEnsure compliance with federal security requirements including FedRAMP and agency-specific ATO requirements\nCoordinate with portal and application development teams on embedding API implementation\nWork within AWS GovCloud and/or Microsoft Azure cloud environments\nCollaborate with data engineering teams leveraging AWS services such as Redshift, RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, Glue, and Lambda\nSupport analytics workloads on Databricks, including Delta Lake table consumption and pipeline coordination\nEnsure reporting architectures isolate analytics workloads from transactional processing systems\nSupport infrastructure setup and deployment using Terraform and GitLab\nPartner with business stakeholders to gather and refine reporting requirements\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives\nConduct dashboard reviews and user acceptance testing with business and technical teams\nProduce and maintain technical documentation including data dictionaries, dashboard specifications, and user guides\nProvide training and support to end users and report consumers across the organization\n Bachelors and 14 years or more experience; Masters and 12 years or more experience ; (4) years or more experience\nAbility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance\n Must be a US Citizen\n4+ years of hands-on experience developing dashboards and reports in Tableau\n4+ years of hands-on experience developing dashboards and reports in Microsoft Power BI\nProficiency in SQL for data querying, transformation, and validation across relational databases\nStrong working knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query (M language) for Power BI data modeling\nExperience with Tableau Server administration including user management, permissions, and extract scheduling\nExperience with Power BI Service administration including workspace management, gateway configuration, and capacity planning\nExperience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) in both Tableau and Power BI\nExperience embedding BI dashboards in web applications using SSO and API-based integration\nSolid understanding of data modeling concepts, dimensional modeling, and analytics best practices\nStrong communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting federal government programs, particularly DoD or other civilian agencies\nFamiliarity with FedRAMP compliance requirements and agency ATO processes\nExperience working in AWS GovCloud or Microsoft Azure Government environments\nHands-on experience with
