We support development and delivery of next generation and generation after next national security systems based on land, at sea, in air, and in space.\nThe Senior Cloud Computing Engineer sought here serves a USG Program Office leading Research & Development (R&D) of evolutionary, revolutionary, and transformational cloud-based architectures. This position provides Systems Engineering & Technical Advisory (SETA) support services.\nYour responsibilities include some or all of the following depending on your personal desires and capabilities:\nExpertise with commercially available cloud computing services such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) and emerging cloud services\nExpertise with cloud computing services and architectures\nExpertise architecting and designing cloud computing environments\nKnowledge of the security considerations, best practices, and implementation associated with cloud computing services and architectures\nExpertise setting up, managing, and optimizing cloud architectures\nProvide recommendations for cloud development strategies, adoption of commercial cloud services, solution architecture, and application and data migration\nActive member of enterprise R&D, learning, and innovation environment creating, gathering, and sharing knowledge to grow organizational competency and capability\nSupport researchers and users on using cloud computing, integration of application and libraries, and problem resolution\nUnderstanding of current artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) offerings and research\n Required Qualifications:\nActive TS/SCI clearance with Poly\nMust have bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or math discipline with minimum of 14 years of relevant work experience or 11 years with master’s degree\nExperience with two or more cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, Google, etc.)\nDoD 8140 certification required to get privileged user access (Security+, CISSP, CISM, or GSEC)\nWorking knowledge of networks, compute, storage, virtualization, design and architecture across multiple fabrics (classification levels)\nProven experience with UNIX and Windows operating systems and commands\nExperience with applications used in research such as Python and Jupyter Lab\nProven self-starter and customer focused\nDesired Qualifications:\nAbility to describe complex cloud computing architecture concepts and configurations to non-technical audiences\nProficient skills using Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)\nCritical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills\nInterpersonal and communication skills for written reports, group discussion, and oral presentations\nWorking experience in the IC or
