The USTC Managed Information Technology Services (MITS) contract is intended to provide strategic, technical, and program management guidance and support services to facilitate the operations and modernization of the combatant command's infrastructure, systems, and applications. This support will be provided to the USTC Command, Control, Communications & Cyber Systems Directorate (TCJ6).\n\nThe successful candidate initiates, supervises, and/or develops requirements from a project's inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs; Provides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff; Provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues; Consults with client to define needs or problems, supervises studies and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions. In this role the candidate will not be writing frontend or backend web applications; instead, will own the foundational AWS ecosystem where the web pages live.\n\nResponsibilities:\nArchitecture and implement AWS GovCloud and maintain resilient hosting environments for web assets using ECS Fargate/EKS/containers.\nThe AWS Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable and secure website infrastructure in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) GovCloud Region.\nEmphasize Cloud security, compliance, and resiliency.\nMigrate and refactor web infrastructure into containers.\nManage static and dynamic hosting architectures.\nProven experience with CI/CD engineering (GitLab, Terraform).\nExperience with and understanding of blue/green deployment methodology.\nParticipate with senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives.\nRecommend and make decisions on administrative or project work matters and ensures effective achievement of program, project, or organizational objectives.\nProvide DoD-aligned documentation and governance.\nProven experience with Limited Content Management System platform administration\nThis position is for Monday through Friday, normal business hours. However, employee may be required to provide after-hours and weekend support during planned or emergency events. \n\nQualifications \n\nRequired Qualifications:\nBS/BA + Ten (10) years or more experience.\nActive DoD Secret Clearance.\nAWS Cloud Engineer Certification with experience as AWS Cloud Engineer.\nMust have at least one of these IAT Level II certifications: Security+, CECCNA-Security, CySA+ **, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP.\nComputing Environment (CE) certification or certificate for the technical area of responsibility for Cloud or virtualization (e.g., Azure, AWS, oracle, IBM, etc.) with a preference in Azure.\nExperience with Redhat Enterprise Linux 8/9 command line administration.\nExperience designing, building, and managing cloud-based applications and services using Amazon Web Services (AWS).\nProficient knowledge of Redhat Enterprise Linux operating system and command line administration.\nIn-depth understanding of Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS), Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), and Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR).\nExperience preparing technical documentation.\nConfiguration and change management experience working directly with/for a government customer.\nBasic proficiency in a major content management system with experience in admin functions such as permissions, configurations, patches/upgrades, and backups in cloud-based platforms.\n\nDesired Qualifications:\nMA/MS.\n15 or more years of experience.\nExperience with Terraform.\nExperience with Javascript/Node.js.\nExperience with ECS Fargate.\nExperience with Gitlab pipelines, Gitlab CI.\nExperience with AWS RDS Postgres Database.\nExperience with AWS monitoring and alerting tools, CloudTrail, and CloudWatch.\nDemonstrated knowledge in creating and executing CI/CD pipelines.\nBasic experience with a major CMS.\nExperience with React/Next.js.\nProficiency in web technologies such as HTML and CSS.\nRedhat Enterprise Linux 8/9 administration.\n\n Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000.
