experimentation.\nHybrid: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote\nResponsibilities:\nCollaborate with senior software engineers to develop and deploy cloud-native applications and microservices on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform.\nMaintain well documented, formatted, and version controlled code and participate in code review.\nDevelop custom APIs and microservices, including containerization, where appropriate.\nCreate code to process data stored in both relational and NoSQL databases.\nFacilitate seamless code promotion from development to production by resolving technical issues identified by testing.\nContribute to implementing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code and Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipelines.\nContribute to secure code development by following DevSecOps best practices. \nSupport cross-functional teams by delivering high-quality software products that meet changing research needs and client requirements.\n Required:\nBachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline with 2+ years of experience or MS (4 years experience in lieu of degree).\nMust be able to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust clearance requiring U.S. Citizenship.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills.\nTechnical Requirements:\nStrong experience with Java Spring Boot and at least one other language (e.g., GO, Python).\nStrong experience using AWS CLI and AWS SDK.\nExperience deploying and configuring software on AWS cloud services.\nExperience implementing APIs including REST, Swagger, and associated tools.\nExperience with Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, Helm, and ECS.\nExperience with databases such as AWS RDS, AWS DynamoDB, or PostgreSQL.\nExperience with AI-assisted development.\nExperience with agile software development and tools such as Atlassian Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, or similar.\nKnowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL).\nUnderstanding with event-driven systems or distributed architectures.\nUnderstanding of infrastructure as code, including tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.\nUnderstanding of CI/CD pipelines using tools like AWS CodePipeline.\nFamiliarity with identity management principles and tools such as AWS IAM, Cognito and OKTA.\nFamiliarity with DevSecOps best-practices in cloud security and
