SAIC is actively seeking a talented and passionate Engineering Technician to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Remote Weapons Systems (MK 93 and MK 97)on surface ships and other platforms. Support planning and execution of ship alterations and modernization efforts. Key Responsibilities: Support mechanical and electrical integration of Remote Weapon Systems (e.g., MK 93, MK 97 and associated mounts, control units, and interfaces) on surface ships and other platforms. Interpret and execute drawings, schematics, work packages, and technical directives for system installation and modification. Assist in developing and refining shipboard integration solutions, including mounting arrangements, cable routing, and power/grounding schemes. Conduct onboard surveys to assess existing configurations and determine installation constraints, interfaces, and material requirements. Support planning and execution of ship alterations (SHIPALTs), modernization efforts, and configuration changes associated with RWS and related systems.
