As our established modeling and simulation developer, you will contribute expertise in simulation as a member of a fast-paced multidisciplinary mission operations modeling, simulation, and analysis team. Your knowledge and talent will guide the team in assembling and releasing an ever-growing portfolio of space mission operations analysis simulations and trade studies.\nFun stuff on the job you will do:\nBe a member of a fast-paced multidisciplinary mission operations modeling, simulation, and analysis team informing the United States Space Force acquisition decision process.\nYour background and interest in simulation development will be highly valued in developing and testing simulation applications. You'll be integrating mission simulation tools into an automated system-level trade study execution architecture.\nYou will have a strong hand in defining requirements, specifying designs, and implementing an ever-growing portfolio of space mission operations analysis simulations and trade studies. \n This is you:\nBachelors degree in aerospace, astronautics, mathematics, or physics and two (2) years of experience with:\nAt least one programming language: MATLAB, Python, Java, C#, or C++.\nLive, virtual, and/or constructive (LVC) simulation techniques and technologies.\nSimulation development experience with simulation environments such as STK, AFSIM, GMAT, or FreeFlyer.\nMATLAB and/or Simulink or other simulation scripting languages.\nPreparing and delivering presentations and technical demonstrations.\nSatellite orbital mechanics & maneuvers, remote sensing, spacecraft launch/command/control, and/or satellite communications. \nEquivalent experience with airborne systems is applicable to this role.\nManaging files & directories, network file sharing, installing software & licenses, and command line shell (Windows Cmd or Bash).\nMust have an in-scope security background investigation (TS or SSBI), adjudicated for SCI eligibility and enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation program (if applicable).\nMust be willing to be nominated for access to Sensitive Compartment Information and Special Access Programs and willing to consent to a Polygraph examination.\nDesired Qualifications:\nSimulation software development, test, and integration experience in a team environment. Use of Agile methodology and Atlassian Jira are beneficial.\nPrior industry experience in aerospace or space & defense.\nSystems engineering, with experience defining and executing trade studies. Engineering methodologies such as Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Multidisciplinary Design Analysis Optimization (MDAO), or Model-Based Design are a plus.
