The position translates engineering requirements, operational guidance, and logistics constraints into actionable assessments, movement plans, readiness updates, and decision-support products for military and civilian leaders.\nThe role requires strong independent judgment, disciplined information capture, and the ability to integrate engineering support across Service components, combat support agencies, logistics organizations, and regional partners. The position supports deliberate planning, crisis action planning, exercises, and real-world contingency operations, consistent with the source role’s focus on theater readiness, infrastructure supportability, force posture, and joint engineer planning.\nKey Responsibilities\nAnalyze theater requirements, infrastructure constraints, access limitations, and logistics dependencies affecting engineering support across the Pacific.\nAttend operational briefs, OPGs, planning sessions, and coordination meetings; independently capture decisions, taskings, risks, and follow-up actions.\nTranslate engineering guidance and operational priorities into concise planning inputs, logistics assessments, staff products, and recommendations.\nCoordinate with engineering, logistics, planning, and operations personnel across the joint force and Service components.\nSupport integration of engineering requirements into CONPLANs, OPLANs, contingency plans, exercise plans, and related operational products.\nAssess the feasibility and supportability of force posture, basing, infrastructure, and sustainment concepts.\nDevelop briefings, decision papers, executive summaries, readiness updates, trackers, and other products for senior military and civilian leaders.\nSupport exercise operations and real-world planning activities, including participation in a shift-work environment when required.\nMaintain planning processes, status trackers, readiness indicators, and reporting mechanisms that improve visibility of engineering and logistics requirements.\nProvide lessons learned and post-event recommendations to improve future planning and operational execution.\nRequirements\nExperience planning, tracking, or coordinating the movement of construction and barrier materials-such as sandbags, barbed wire, lumber, concrete, or comparable materials-through TRANSCOM, DLA, military distribution, or similar logistics channels.\nAbility to translate engineering requirements, including BDA, ADR, PDR, and FP considerations, into prioritized logistics assessments, movement actions, and clear operational briefings.\n Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, logistics, operations research, architecture, military studies, national security studies, regional planning, or a related field.\nBachelors and ten (10) years or more of related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and five (5) years or more experience.\nEight or more years of relevant experience in joint military planning, operational logistics, engineering operations, infrastructure assessment, force posture analysis, or defense planning support.\nDemonstrated experience supporting DoD, Combatant Command, Service component, defense-agency, or comparable military planning environments.\nWorking knowledge of joint planning processes, operational design, plan assessment, and staff integration across deliberate and crisis action planning.\nStrong analytical and note-taking skills, including the ability to understand construction properties and communicate technically accurate information to the broader team.\nAbility to work with a high degree of autonomy, particularly when attending briefs, OPGs, and other senior-level planning forums.\nSolid understanding of Pacific geography, regional access constraints, and the operating environment involving U.S. allies and partners.\nFamiliarity with joint operations, Priority of Effort, and the integration of engineering support across Service components.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief senior leaders and coordinate across diverse stakeholder groups.\nAbility to work effectively in an exercise, contingency, or shift-work environment.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office and common planning, collaboration, tracking, and data-analysis tools.\nActive TS/SCI eligibility\nExperience planning, tracking, or coordinating the movement of construction and barrier materials-such as sandbags, barbed wire, lumber, concrete, or comparable materials-through TRANSCOM, DLA, military distribution, or similar logistics channels.\nAbility to translate engineering requirements, including BDA, ADR, PDR, and FP considerations, into prioritized logistics assessments, movement actions, and clear operational briefings.\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrior experience supporting U.S. Pacific Command, another Geographic Combatant Command, Joint Staff, Service component headquarters, or comparable theater-level organization.\nExperience with contingency engineering, crisis action teams, exercise planning cells, posture planning, infrastructure assessments, or theater logistics planning.\nExperience working with allies, partners, host-nation organizations, or interagency stakeholders in the Pacific region.\nJoint Professional Military Education, engineer officer advanced schooling, or equivalent military planning education.\nProfessional Engineer license, project or program management credential, or process-improvement certification.\nMaster’s degree in engineering, logistics, operations research, systems engineering, national security affairs, public policy, or a related
