In this senior role, you will serve as a subject matter expert and organizational consultant, contributing to the development of new logistics concepts, techniques, and standards that support the long-term sustainment and operational readiness of this critical nuclear deterrence capability in a competitive prototyping developmental environment. The successful candidate will exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives and will provide expert guidance to program leadership and junior team members.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance planning, and integrated product support (IPS) for the SLCM-N program\nAssist the Navy in the application and implementation of the 12 DoD Integrated Product Support Elements to performers in a competitive prototyping developmental environment.\nControl the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between points of origin through customer placement in order to meet program and customer requirements\nPlan, schedule, and manage the efficient movement of material; develop raw material requirements and scheduling requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules\nEnsure the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes across the SLCM-N program\nLead logistics functions encompassing maintenance, supply, transportation, and logistics plans\nPerform program formulation, policy planning, coordination, inspection, integrated logistics processes, joint planning logistics, acquisition and wholesale logistics, product support, asset visibility, material management, and supervision\nContribute to the development of new logistics concepts, techniques, and standards; serve as the recognized expert in logistics within the organization\nEstablish and recommend changes to logistics policies that affect the organization\nProvide guidance and mentorship to more junior logistics team members to achieve goals in accordance with established policies\nServe as consultant to management and as a special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to logistics policies, plans, and objectives\nInterface with Navy program office staff, fleet personnel, and industry partners on significant logistics matters\n Required Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field with 10 or more years of related experience; OR Master’s degree with 8 or more years of related experience; OR PhD or JD with 5 or more years of related experience\nRecognized expert in logistics with a complete understanding of integrated product support, lifecycle maintenance, and supply chain management principles\nDemonstrated experience performing system fault analysis, lifecycle maintenance planning, and integrated product support for major DoD systems\nProven ability to develop solutions to complex logistics problems requiring ingenuity and innovation\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills\nProficiency with standard industry and government office and analytical tools including Microsoft Office Suite\nInterim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance.
