In this role, you will serve as the primary Systems Engineer for a designated hypersonic test mission, providing technical leadership across the full mission lifecycle - from experiment integration through mission execution.\nThis is a high-visibility position requiring both deep technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to coordinate across experiment teams, launch providers, and government stakeholders. The role is primarily telework-eligible with approximately 25% travel to program sites, test facilities, and customer locations.\nWhat You'll Do\nMission Systems Engineering Leadership\nServe as the primary Systems Engineer for an assigned Mach-TB mission, owning technical integrity from concept through post-mission review\nLead the development and management of stakeholder requirements, ensuring traceability from mission objectives to experiment design\nDevelop and maintain Verification & Validation (V&V) plans, tracking compliance across all mission elements\nAssess mission feasibility and provide technical recommendations to the Program Office\nExperiment Integration & Coordination\nCoordinate technical integration activities between experiment payload teams and launch vehicle/range providers\nReview experiment designs, interface control documents (ICDs), and integration procedures for technical compliance\nIdentify and resolve interface conflicts, technical risks, and integration challenges across multi-experiment missions\nSupport integration reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, IRR, MRR) and provide actionable technical feedback\nStakeholder Engagement & Technical Communication\nAct as the technical point of contact for assigned mission stakeholders including government customers, experiment PIs, and range safety personnel\nDevelop and present technical briefings, white papers, and status reports to program leadership and government sponsors\nFacilitate technical working groups and interface meetings to drive resolution of open issues\nCollaborate with the broader Mach-TB Systems Engineering team to ensure cross-mission consistency and lessons learned are captured\nRisk & Issue Management\nIdentify, document, and track technical risks and issues using program-standard risk management tools\nDevelop mitigation strategies and work with stakeholders to implement corrective actions\nEnsure technical issues are escalated appropriately and resolved within program schedule constraints\n Required Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in systems engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related STEM field\n10+ years of experience in systems engineering roles, with demonstrated experience in:\nRequirements development and management\nVerification and validation planning and execution\nSystem integration and interface management\nExperience supporting flight test programs, hypersonic systems, or space/launch vehicle programs\nFamiliarity with DoD acquisition processes and program lifecycle milestones\nStrong technical writing and communication skills;
