This candidate will be working with a team of server engineers to troubleshoot issues for multiple systems in multiple datacenter locations.\nThe Senior Windows Engineer will provide support, implementation, and design services for Windows-based systems across the enterprise. The candidate will be responsible for resolving and completing assigned tasks and change requests and will act as an escalation for support issues. The candidate will also be responsible for applying new solutions through research and collaboration with team members and will be advising on course of actions for new application initiatives.\nResponsibilities:\nManage Windows OS-based computer devices through Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, registry and files system security as needed.\n\nAdminister systems infrastructure both on-premises and in the cloud\n\nCollaborate with other team members to perform server patching and maintenance\n\nEvaluate hardware and software purchases\n\nManage 2000+ servers across multiple field site locations.\n\nStrong knowledge in Active Directory (Windows 2016 through Windows 2022)\n\nManage and lead systems and infrastructure projects\n\nFollow existing incident, problem, release, change management processes.\n\nSupport existing server infrastructure in a 24x7 on-call escalation capacity as part of a team rotation\n\nProvide high level technical support for Tier-3 issue escalations/tickets\n\nDesign and implement Citrix solutions\n\nManaging and monitoring a Citrix platform\n\nProvide MARAD input for their annual budget.\nMeet with the MARAD Infrastructure Manager for strategic planning. \nProvide engineering recommendations for hardware refreshes of servers and storage.\nPlan upgrades and enhancements to server infrastructure at DOT DR data center.\nHelp manage warranty renewals and support contract renewals. \nHelp perform software licenses asset management for the MARAD data center.\nProvide remote support for MARAD’s DR site at Piney Point, MD. \nHelp maintain the DR Test Plan and the MARAD DR Plan documents.\nMaintain the MARAD CMDB.\nPerform engineering studies as requested for OST Datacenter Operations.\nProvide administrative smart hands support within the Stennis datacenter.\nDraft and submit change requests to both the MARAD and DOT OST OCIO change boards.\nSupport IT service consolidation projects.\nAssist with testing as a member of the PVG.\n Top Qualifications, Skills, Experience or Certifications:\n12+ years of relevant experience and Bachelor’s Degree;
