The selected candidate will leverage their operational fleet experience to train Sailors on the configuration, management, monitoring, fault isolation, and restoration of Navy networks in support of mission-critical communications.\nKey Responsibilities\nDeliver classroom and laboratory instruction on Navy shipboard network and communications systems\nTeach students how to operate, configure, administer, and maintain Navy network infrastructure\nProvide hands-on training in network monitoring, troubleshooting, fault isolation, and system restoration\nShare real-world fleet experience and operational best practices to enhance student learning and mission readiness\nEvaluate student performance and provide coaching to ensure mastery of course objectives\nMaintain technical expertise on current Navy networking architectures, processes, and technologies\nThis role offers a unique opportunity to turn your fleet experience into mission impact by developing the next generation of Navy network operators and administrators. Your firsthand knowledge of shipboard operations will directly contribute to fleet readiness and warfighter effectiveness.\n EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor's degree preferred; additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.\nMinimum 7 years of combined experience in: Delivering technical instruction and training courses\n\nSupporting and maintaining training curriculum/courseware\n\nProviding system administration, maintenance, cybersecurity, or operational support for Navy shipboard network environments\n\nHands-on experience with one or more Navy network systems, including CANES, ADNS, ISNS, CENTRIXS, SubLAN, SCI Networks, NTCSS, NSVT, HBSS, or ISSM-related functions\nProven experience troubleshooting, securing, and maintaining afloat network and communications systems\nStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively train and mentor military personnel\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrior U.S. Navy experience in Information Systems Technician (IT), Cryptologic Technician Networks (CTN/CWT), Electronics Technician (ET), or related communications/networking ratings\nPrevious instructor or military training experience\n\nCLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:\nMust have an active Secret clearance\nCERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT:\nMust be able to obtain the following certifications within 6 months of hire:\nCompTIA Security+\nCisco CCNA or Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate\nFormal Instructor Training (ONE of the following):US Navy Instructor Training Course\nIndustry Training Certification
