This is a 100% Remote role.\nJob Description\nDevelops and executes test plans, test cases, and test procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements.\nDevelops test plans, test schedule, and approach.\nWrites test cases and scripts and identifies data for test scenarios.\nConducts a walk through on test case/script with Test Managers, Requirement Leads, Project Managers, and Development Leads.\nPerforms and leads tests of software and/or IT systems to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.\nPerforms verification activities on work products using defined methods, procedures and criteria with an appropriate verification environment.\nDocuments and communicates test results.\nSupports analysis of test results and resolution of open issues.\nDocuments and works to resolve all complex problems.\nReports progress on problem resolution to management.\nDevises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations. Creates daily test metrics and reporting.\nOccasionally performs other IT systems engineering activities such as requirements, design, installation, operation, sustainment, and support.\nComplete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines.\nReceives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet outlined objectives. Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance.\nWork is reviewed by management to measure whether objectives have been met.\nProvides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.\nSolutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable and consistent with organization objectives.\nWorks under only general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.\nDemonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.\nContributes to completion of specific programs and projects.\nFrequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts.\nRepresents organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.\n Education and Experience\nBachelors and ten (10) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience\nDegree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.\nAdvanced certifications in testing or quality assurance (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE, CSQA) are preferred.\nProven track record of working on complex software projects and ensuring high-quality deliverables.\nExperience in both manual and automated testing.\nExperience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).\nEdifecs certification and experience preferred.\nRequirements\nProficiency in writing and executing test cases, test scripts, and test plans. \nFamiliarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools (e.g., GitHub Actions).\nFamiliarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).\nUnderstanding of performance testing and tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).\nFamiliarity in languages such as Java, Python, C# or JavaScript.\nExperience with defect tracking and management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).\nExperience in testing COTS products (Edifecs is a plus).\nUnderstanding of security testing practices and tools.\nKnowledge of different types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, system, usability, and UAT.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong communication and collaboration abilities.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nAttention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.\nAbility to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.\nAbility to understand business requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.\nExperience with test management tools\nKnowledge of DevOps practices and tools.\nAbility to conduct test reviews and provide constructive feedback.\nStrong understanding of risk-based testing, exploratory testing, and context-driven testing.\nFamiliarity with cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.\nClearance Requirement\nUS Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
