Create resource usage models and predictions. Works closely with team leaders to build, evaluate and optimize project schedules. The Project Scheduler will participate in a cross-functional team environment in development and oversight of development and related project schedules. As a highly motivated individual with very good organization, technical, and communication skills, you will work with a team of professionals to deliver superior service.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDevelop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules, including all phases of project execution.\nCoordinate with project managers and team members to gather schedule information and update schedules accordingly.\nIdentify potential scheduling issues and proactively develop mitigation strategies.\nCommunicate schedule updates and changes to project teams and stakeholders.\nUtilize scheduling software to create and manage project timelines.\nPrepare regular reports on project schedule status, highlighting any deviations or risks.\nAnalyze project schedules to identify trends and areas for improvement.\nEnsure compliance with organizational policies and procedures related to scheduling.\nThe Project Scheduler will work with the project leadership team to perform Microsoft Project tasks such as:\nProject Setup:Creating New Projects: Set up new projects, including defining project start dates, calendars, and working times.\n Task Management: Create, organize, and link tasks (using dependencies), set task constraints, Deadlines, and milestones.\n\nResource Management:Defining Resources: Add and categorize resources and set resource availability.\nAssigning Resources: Assign resources to tasks and understand how different assignment types affect task scheduling.\n\nScheduling:Effort Driven Tasks: Knowledge of effort-driven scheduling and how to apply it.\n Critical Path Method (CPM): Identify and manage the project’s critical path to ensure timely project completion. Knowledge of Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary critical paths\nHandling Overallocations: Use tools like the Resource Graph, Resource Usage view, and leveling methods to resolve resource overallocation issues.\nBaselines: Set and manage baselines for tracking project progress.\n\nTracking Progress:Updating Tasks and Progress: Mark tasks as in progress, completed, or adjust task and project dates based on real-world data.\nVariance Analysis: Compare baseline and actuals to analyze project performance and variances.\n\nViews and Reports: User-Defined Views: Customize and save different views (Gantt Chart, Task Usage, Resource Sheet, Network Diagram) to fit your scheduling needs.\n\nCollaboration:Sharing and Exporting: Efficiently share project plans through exporting and publishing, often involving integration with other Microsoft Office tools.\nProject Online and Server: Having some exposure to Project Online or Project Server for enterprise-level project management would be advantageous.\n\n Required:\nHS/GED and ten (10) years' experience; Or Associates and eight (8) years' experience; Or Bachelors and six (6) years' experience; Or Masters and four (4) years’ experience.\nThe ideal candidate must be able to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth work environment and operate entrepreneurially and collaboratively to accomplish deliverables.\nProficiency with scheduling software, with a strong preference placed on MS Project.\nExperience in project planning/scheduling.\nStrong computer skills to include Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Applications, and integration between Office and Project.\nAn understanding of critical path methodology to ensure, and communicate, timely delivery of milestone tasks.\nKnowledge of earned value management (EVM).\nUS citizenship.\nAbility to obtain security clearance;
