The team is committed to providing training and support to ensure your success.\nJob Description:\nCreates and modifies detailed models and drawings using SolidWorks and occasional other forms of CAD Software.\n\nWorks closely with the Customer, Engineers, Technicians and other CAD Operators to capture design, revise existing documentation and attend meetings.\n\nWorks independently as well as in a collective team effort to effect changes to design and/or documentation\n\nAble to delegate tasking and advice to other team members while maintaining quick decision making under pressure.\n\nAble to keep Configuration Management of the tasking, files and correspondence as required to complete the task in a quick and orderly fashion.\n\nPerforms a variety of moderate and complex tasks and have the ability to use a variety of tools to include, but not limited to, Calipers, Gauges, Tape Measure, Ruler and other mechanical devices to aid in design development and verification/validation of first article pieces.\n\n REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\nAssociate degree in a related discipline with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience, or a high School Diploma and minimum five (5) years of experience with Drafting Design, Electrical and Mechanical.\n\nExperience in 3D CAD software while using a PDM configuration system.\n\nHands-on mechanical/electro-mechanical knowledge and aptitude with understanding of currently accepted manufacturing processes and ISO procedures required.\n\nMust be detail oriented and able to communicate complex ideas.\n\nMust be a US Citizen.\n\nInterim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance.SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.\n\nAbility to quickly complete tasking independently and as a team member, with detailed or general instructions.\n\nKnowledge and understanding of the following drawing standards: (ASME-Y14.100, MIL-STD-31000)\n\nKnowledge and understanding of basic and advanced CAD procedures and how to properly apply them on demand including, but not limited to, formatting, layout, proper expression of Dimensioning and Tolerancing.\n\nUnderstanding of Military standards and specifications.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with Solidworks software is highly desirable\n\nProficiency in collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate mechanical and electrical system designs\n\nDemonstrated ability to recreate complex original equipment manufacturer (OEM) drawings in the absence of native
