You'll play a pivotal role in supporting the operations, optimization, security, and modernization of mission-critical infrastructure, applications, and systems.\nResponsibilities:\nPlan, design, and implement next-generation commercial cloud architectures with a focus on security, scalability, resiliency, and operational excellence.\nLead the migration, re-platforming, and integration of applications into cloud environments, focusing on modernization, automation, and process improvement.\nApply your expertise in tools such as AWS, Azure, Linux, scripting languages like PowerShell/bash, and ITSM tools to create efficiencies that enable mission success.\nEnsure adherence to DoD cloud computing policies (e.g., guidelines for IL5/IL6 Commercial Cloud Service Offerings).\nTake an active role in testing, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex cloud/virtualization systems while keeping pace with technological advancements.\nYou'll also have the opportunity to:\nConduct strategic analysis and provide actionable recommendations to maximize performance while minimizing costs.\nAssist with configuration management, hardening system security controls, and leveraging Active Directory forests, Group Policies, and STIGs to enforce compliance standards.\nOperate as a trusted technical advisor, consulting senior leadership while showcasing your expertise on scalable cloud solutions in high-stakes, mission-critical environments.\nThis role offers flexibility with Monday-Friday daytime hours while also offering opportunities to support response efforts during emergencies or planned after-hours events.\n Required Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) and 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering, IT systems, or related fields.\nActive DoD Secret Clearance.\nCurrent certifications:\nAWS Cloud Engineer Certification and experience operating AWS environments.\nIAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CECCNA-Security, CySA+ **, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP).\nComputing Environment Certification for Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Oracle, etc.).
